The G13 Guardian desert TRF is designed for deployment in outdoor and survival environments where rugged optics, high wearing comfort and maximum functionality are required. With an unbreakable frame and lenses, along with brilliant optical quality, it provides reliable protection and carefully considered performance in changing conditions.
Frame: NBFX polymer with shape memory
The frame is made from the patented NBFX (Non Breaking Flex Polymer) – a high‑performance synthetic material with exceptional elasticity and stability. It is shatter‑proof, dimensionally stable and airbag‑safe, meaning: frame and lenses remain intact even under major deformation and return to their original shape. Unlike conventional plastics, the material does not splinter and forms no sharp edges – even under high mechanical stress.
With a specific weight of only 1.11 g/cm³, NBFX ranks among the lightest materials in the tactical and outdoor optics field. The low mass reduces fatigue during extended use and ensures a pressure‑free fit – even when combined with helmet, hearing protection or shoulder‑holster equipment.
Temples: INCLINOX technology for individual adjustment
The INCLINOX temples allow tool‑free cold bending to adjust angle, curvature and fit to head shape, equipment and mission requirements. This adjustment remains permanently stable and ensures a secure, pressure‑free fit even while moving, under wet conditions or during long wear periods.

The lenses of the G13 Guardian desert TRF are configured with NBFX TRANSFORMER energizer F2–F4, meaning they automatically adapt their tint to ambient light and cover a filter range from F2 to F4. This makes them ideal for fluctuating lighting conditions in sunlight, shade, vehicle operations or high altitude.
The integrated TRINITY Lens Technology combines high light transmission with precise filtering and image sharpness – supported by an Abbe value of 45, which significantly reduces color fringing and chromatic aberration. This ensures visual perception remains sharp and detailed – a key advantage for observation, navigation and outdoor tasks.
The lenses provide 100 % protection against UVA and UVB radiation (280–400 nm) and are completely impact‑resistant. Even under high mechanical stress – for example from flying particles or impacts – they retain their functionality and offer reliable protection.

The eyewear meets the requirements of the European standard EN166 for professional eye protection and the military‑tactical directive STANAG 2920 for ballistic resistance.
