Battery disposal & regulation
How do I dispose of used batteries and accumulators?
The TACWRK sells batteries with different articles in the scope of supply or we also offer batteries individually for sale. By the battery regulation we are obligated as dealers to inform our customers about the following facts: Please dispose used batteries and accumulators, as required by law, at an appropriate collection point or return the battery free of charge. Disposal of the battery in household waste is expressly prohibited by German law.
You can also return your used batteries to us at the address listed below:
TACWRK GmbH
Batterieentsorung
Wilhelminenhofstraße 83-85
12459 Berlin
We will then dispose of these batteries and accumulators properly.
Disposal of old electrical appliances
In addition to batteries, old electrical appliances must also not be disposed of with household waste. This law applies to all electrical and electronic equipment. For example flashlights or GPS navigation devices, watches with built-in microchips, etc. This includes illumination tools.
These devices are taken back free of charge by the city and municipality. More households are also installing a special waste bin to dispose of electrical waste. Some municipalities also offer collection services. Find out more about your local recycling centre or the collection of bulky waste.
