Construction
Upper Material
The upper of the ZICON GTX MID is made from a combination of suede leather and textile material. This material blend combines durability with flexibility, creating an ideal balance between protection and freedom of movement.
Design
The mid-height shaft provides additional ankle support without restricting natural movement. At the same time, the robust construction ensures long-lasting durability during regular use. The ESD-compliant design protects against electrostatic discharge and is therefore suitable for environments involving sensitive electronic equipment.
GORE-TEX Membrane
Inside, the boot features a GORE-TEX membrane. It reliably prevents water from entering while allowing moisture to escape from within. This helps maintain a comfortable and balanced foot climate, even during extended periods of wear. The waterproof and breathable construction is additionally available with either GORE-TEX Professional or GORE-TEX Duratherm.
While GORE-TEX Professional is designed for year-round weather protection and comfort, GORE-TEX Duratherm provides additional insulation for use in colder temperatures. As a result, foot comfort remains consistent even in changing weather conditions.Two-Zone Lacing System
The two-zone lacing system allows separate adjustment of the forefoot and shaft areas. This improves overall comfort and ensures a secure fit, whether the boot is being quickly laced up or worn for extended periods.
Sole Construction
The LOWA ZICON GTX MID features a well-engineered sole construction that combines cushioning, stability, and sure-footed traction. At the same time, the design promotes a smooth rolling motion and helps reduce fatigue during long working hours.
Midsole
For enhanced comfort, LOWA relies on its proven LOWA DYNAPU midsole technology. The specially developed polyurethane material delivers long-lasting cushioning properties and maintains consistent performance even under intensive use. This is complemented by the Double Injection construction process, in which the midsole is directly bonded to the upper. The result is precisely tuned cushioning, excellent stability, and efficient energy transfer while walking.
Outsole
The LOWA Rubber Outsole has been designed for dependable traction and outstanding durability. Its specialized rubber compound provides reliable grip on a wide variety of surfaces and supports controlled movement on wet, dry, or changing terrain. At the same time, the outsole is tailored to the requirements of professional users and stands out through its rugged construction for daily duty use.
