  For Uncompromising Operations

  The Zephyr MK2 GTX Hi sets new standards in terms of performance and comfort. The optimization of basic features such as stability, lightness, and agility, along with ISO 20347:2012 certification, makes it ideal for tactical deployments. The HI-CUT shaft offers additional protection and stability, while the ergonomic sole and improved cushioning are suitable for hard landings by parachute and challenging terrain.
  
  

  Outsole

  One of the patented features of the Zephyr MK2 GTX Hi is its specially developed LOWA X-TRAC MILITARY sole. This provides excellent grip on a variety of surfaces, from oily to wet and rocky terrains. The sole meets the strictest requirements of ISO 20347:2012, offering maximum slip resistance in operations. The new tread design with a designated rope arch is ideal for fast roping.
  
  

  Midsole

  The injected midsole made of lightweight foam connects the sole to the shaft, providing effective cushioning upon strong impact. This construction significantly improves comfort during long deployments and hikes, especially in rough terrain. Various layers of polyurethane foam pads are ergonomically shaped and firmly connected to the shaft, resulting in a lightweight yet extremely durable boot.
  
  

  MONOWRAP Since 1995

  The LOWA-MONOWRAP frame, successfully used since 1995, securely encloses the foot and supports it with its three-dimensional design. This increases stability and safety, particularly in uneven terrain operations.
  
  

  Insole

  The insole of the Zephyr MK2 GTX Hi ensures a stable footbed and effective moisture management in every situation. Made of 9% polyamide and approximately 90% polyurethane, it offers exceptional shape stability, tear and abrasion resistance, and excellent cushioning properties.
  
  

  Upper Material

  The combination of durable suede and high-performance synthetic material gives the Zephyr MK2 GTX Hi an exceptionally robust structure and a velvety surface. The revised seam guidance between the forefoot and midfoot prevents pressure points and ensures a comfortable fit, especially during frequent kneeling.
  
  

  Surface Membrane

  The GORE-TEX Extended Comfort Footwear membrane offers optimal protection against water and wind while ensuring excellent breathability. This makes the Zephyr MK2 GTX Hi perfect for deployments in extreme weather conditions.
  
  

  Lacing

  The two-zone lacing system allows for individual adjustment of the boot to your foot, especially during ascents and descents.   The Zephyr MK2 GTX Hi is equipped with a removable footbed and is compatible with the orthopedic insoles ErgoPad work:x and ErgoPad work:h+ from BAUERFEIND. This combination ensures perfect individual adjustment and is certified as occupational footwear according to DIN EN ISO 20347:2012.

  The size seems to run small. Sadly an upsize wasn't available at the time, but I'll make sure to order bigger next time. Had them for about 20 days now and I've done about 80km of walking and hiking with them. I've used them in snow on a calm day and in a blizzard. Held water out just fine and if any snow fell in my feet dried out quickly. Also used them in muddy and rainy conditions. My feet didn't get wet if I stepped into a steam or a puddle either. The construction feels high quality and inspires confidence. It feels like the boots are pushing you forward while walking on asphalt. Ok for running over tough terrain too. So I do recommend these but maybe take a size bigger. Show more Show less
