Softshell Combat Pant for Extreme Weather Conditions
The Arc’teryx Pro Tactician SV Pant, together with the matching SV Shirt, forms the uniform for snow and wind. While the AR Uniform serves as the versatile core of the new Tactician Series, the SV version takes over wherever extreme temperatures and weather conditions prevail.
The Softshell Combat Pant combines reliable weather protection with high mobility and mission-oriented storage. It can be worn next to skin or over a base layer and remains breathable during cold, wet and dynamic operations.
Durastretch softshell for cold and wet conditions
The robust 520E Durastretch Nylon Plain Weave at 214 g/m² provides breathable protection in cold and wet operational conditions. A DWR finish causes moisture to bead off the surface.
The articulated construction supports natural movement across difficult terrain. Pocket bags and knee lining made from durable stretch fabric increase breathability and comfort.
Integrated knee pads for dynamic operations
Thermo-moulded and perforated foam knee pads provide low-profile, flexible protection while maintaining high mobility. Reinforced webbing increases abrasion resistance across the heavily exposed knee areas.
Hook-and-loop adjustment tabs behind the knees keep the pads in the intended position during rapid movement.
Tactical storage with direct access
High-set hand pockets remain freely accessible when wearing a duty belt. Reinforced clip areas inside the pockets allow a knife to be attached quickly and securely.
Low-profile zippered thigh pockets keep mobile phones and smaller items of equipment secure against the body. Cord zipper pulls reduce metal noise.
Large cargo pockets on the thighs can be opened one-handed using hook-and-loop closures. Internal elastic loops and webbing secure magazines and communication equipment during movement. Additional snap fasteners secure the pockets during airborne operations, while integrated drain holes quickly release water.
Outer lower-leg pockets provide quick access to smaller mission-critical items through top-mounted hook-and-loop closures.
Robust belt loops for heavy equipment
Reinforced belt loops accommodate a Rigger Belt or an inner belt up to 5.1 cm wide. They stabilise weapon, radio and communication systems during dynamic movement.
Internal gaiters for winter boots
Internal gaiters with cinch cords close securely over winter boots and prevent the trouser legs from riding up or snagging.
Two stitched eyelets at each leg cuff allow the trouser legs to be additionally secured with paracord during airborne operations.
For dynamic winter operations
The SV Pant shows its strengths during tactical movement through cold, wet or snow-covered terrain and extended operational phases under adverse conditions. Weather protection, integrated knee protection and adaptable storage make it the consistent complement to the SV Shirt.
