Combat Pants for Tactical Mobility and Extended Operations
With the Arc’teryx Pro Tactician AR Pant, Arc’teryx Pro transfers its extensive experience in operational clothing to the new Tactician Collection. Together with the Tactician AR Shirt, it is one of the central components of the series. Findings from field testing and the involvement of experienced operators informed the material, fit and features.
The construction is designed for extended foot patrols, fast-roping and airborne operations as well as missions involving heavy personal equipment loads. Different types of terrain and changing operational tempos are accommodated through a mobile fit, reinforced high-wear zones and a versatile pocket configuration.
Spartan HT Flex Lite with a Technical Ripstop Structure
The pants are made from a 190 g/m² ripstop blend of cotton, nylon and elastane. Known as Spartan HT Flex Lite, the fabric features two-way stretch and responds flexibly to movement while retaining the fabric structure required for operational applications.
For additional operational capability, the main fabric possesses no-melt/no-drip properties. Arc’teryx Pro complements the construction with a durable, breathable stretch fabric at the pocket bags and knee areas. The Tactician AR Pant has a total weight of 760 g.
Anatomically Adapted Construction for Controlled Movement
The shape of the pants follows the body’s movement patterns and provides sufficient room to move without adding unnecessary fabric volume. The ergonomic cut works together with the elastic fabric to support freedom of movement and next-to-skin comfort in different operational positions.
The fit remains focused on mobility when equipment is worn. This makes the Tactician AR Pant suitable for extended operations involving regular transitions between movement, periods of inactivity and physically demanding tasks.
Adjustable Knee Protection with a Low-Profile Construction
Thermo-moulded and perforated foam knee pads provide protection without adding unnecessary bulk around the knees. The perforations support airflow, while the flexible construction maintains the knee’s natural movement.
The position of the pads can be adjusted in height and stabilised using tabs behind the knees. When required, they can be removed completely or replaced with hard knee caps. Webbing reinforcement running over the knees additionally increases abrasion resistance on the heavily exposed outer surface.
Large Cargo Pockets with a Secure Internal Layout
Large-volume cargo pockets are positioned on both sides for carrying larger mission essentials. The hook-and-loop flap closures allow one-handed operation, while an additional button keeps the outer flap closed during airborne operations and comparable physical demands.
Inside, elastic loops and webbing secure magazines, tools, communication equipment and other items against uncontrolled movement. Drain holes remove water that enters the pockets during operations in wet environments.
Separate Storage at the Thighs and Lower Legs
Flat equipment such as mobile phones or identification documents can be stored in the zippered upper-thigh pockets, separately from the contents of the cargo pockets. Outer lower-leg pockets with top-entry hook-and-loop closures provide quick access to smaller, regularly required mission essentials.
Inside the hand pockets, reinforced knife-clip areas protect the fabric against concentrated stress. The zippers feature cord pulls that reduce metal contact and are less likely to snag on equipment or elements in the surrounding environment.
Stable Belt Support and Secureable Cuffs
The reinforced belt loops are designed to accommodate a rigger’s belt or a 2-inch inner-duty belt. They therefore provide a stable platform for belt-mounted weapons, radio and communication equipment, including when the wearer moves quickly or carries heavy loads.
The width of the cuffs can be adjusted to the combat boots using hook-and-loop tabs. This reduces both pant-leg ride-up and the risk of snagging on obstacles or equipment. Dual-stitched eyelets at each cuff also allow the pant legs to be secured with paracord, particularly during airborne operations.
