  The Carinthia Defence 4 has become a true classic and one of the best-selling sleeping bags in its class. The legendary military sleeping bag in irresistible MultiCam now fits seamlessly into any camo loadout. This extremely robust 3-season sleeping bag with waterproof outer material has a a very practical top zipper, which provides additional protection against wind and moisture with a zipper storm flap.
  
  An integrated zipper thermal flap prevents unfavourable heat loss and thus contributes to making the Carinthia Defence 4 suitable for a demanding temperature range to -15°C. Thanks to the excellent ratio of thermal performance, packing size and weight, the Defence 4 can be easily stowed and transported, making the decisive difference in critical situations.
  
  In combination with the Carinthia Tropen, the Defence 4 can be transformed into a complete 4-season sleeping system that will reliably get you through even the coldest night.
  
  

  Differential Cut

  
  Optimum construction of the insulation layers. External dimensions are cut larger in order to give the insulation material (G-LOFT & CQ-Down) the necessary space to build up its volume.
  
  

  Thermoflect

  
  Thermoflect increases the heat retention of a sleeping bag by around 11 %. Thermoflect is our solution to heat loss due to body radiation. Thermoflect is an ultra-light, ultra-soft, breathable scrim with the unique ability to reflect body-heat.
  
  

  Including Color-Matched Packing Bag

  
  The Carinthia Tropen can be transported uncomplicated, compact and safe thanks to the included pack sack.
  
  

  Combinable Sleeping Bag System

  
  Some of our sleeping bags can be combined to a sleeping bag system. Such a system can be used as a 4 Season Sleeping Bag and allows you to carry only the weight and the bulk necessary for the prevailing temperatures.
  
  

  Two Way Zipper

  
  All Carinthia military sleeping bags are equipped with a two way zipper. The glider on the top does not snag, allowing a quick step out if necessary (in case of alert for example). The glider on the down side does stick and can be opened for ventilation.
  
  

  Pinch Protection Tape

  
  Textile tape, which guarantees the jam-free opening & closing of the zipper.
  
  

  2-Layer Construction

  
  The smart 2-layer construction provides superior insulation. An additional air cushion between the quilted, insulated layer and the outer cover reliably prevents the penetration of energy-sapping cold.
  
  

  Trapezoidal Foot Shape

  
  Experience has shown that the trapezoidal cut provides the ultimate foot space. In a normal sleeping position, the feet do not poke the insulation outward, avoiding cold spots. There is also enough room to store a shoe bag or extra clothing.
  
  

  Zipper Thermal Flap

  
  The integrated G-LOFT zipper flap ensures that heat cannot escape through the zipper.
  
  

  Carinthia Camo Matrix

  
  The so-called Camo Matrix expands the usability of Carinthia products for a wide range of applications. Depending on the requirement profile and location, the equipment and clothing can now be adapted even better to your operation`s environment.
