  für mich sind einige bilderder ware, nicht eindeutig. kann aber auch an mir liegen. ich hatte nicht gesehen, das die jacke keine \"normalen\" taschen an der üblichen stelle hat und die brusttaschen so tief sind.

  Established military sleeping bag in legendary camo
  

  As part of the Camo Matrix, Carinthia has now introduced its proven 3-season sleeping bag, the Defence 4, in the trendy vintage camo classic Woodland. Of course, even in the Woodland Edition, the Defence 4 remains the ultimate companion for outdoor nights down to -15°C.

  3-season sleeping bag with the option to upgrade

  The Defence 4 is one of the best-selling mummy sleeping bags and with the trades of a 3-season sleeping bag its`s already extensively usable. However, if you want to be prepared for nights under the open sky for 365 days of the year, you can do this with the Defence 4 without further ado as well: The sleeping bag can be used together with the Carinthia Tropen Sleeping Bag and therewith be combined into a 4-season sleeping system.

  Carinthia Defence 4 x Tropen

  For use in particularly cold temperatures, the Carinthia Defence 4 and Tropen can be combined. The sleeping bags can be fixed at the foot area using sewn-in loops and a cord or small carabiners. Due to the different cut patterns, the formation of cold bridges is effectively reduced. The combination of both sleeping bags achieves a heat performance equivalent to that of the Carinthia Defence 6, making it an ideal solution for extremely cold conditions.
  
  

  Defence 4 Size Selection

  The Carinthia Defence 4 is available in three sizes: M (185) for individuals up to 185 cm tall,L (200) for those up to 200 cm, and XL (220) for people up to 220 cm. Choosing the right size depends on your height to ensure an optimal fit and maximum thermal efficiency.
  
  

  Material and Filling

  The key to the success of the Carinthia sleeping bags lies in the insulation: In the Defence 4, the typical G-Loft insulation material is combined with Thermoflect.
  

  Thermoflect is a particularly light cotton fabric that is breathable on the one hand, but also makes use of body heat on the other: Thermoflect can store up to 11% more heat and thus ideally support the body in heat management.

  The material is layered in a 2-layer construction. This allows an additional air cushion to be created between the quilted insulating layer and the outer shell. In this way, the insulation is improved once again and cold can hardly enter anymore.

  Full decompression thanks to G-Loft

  Of course, it is again due to the G-Loft synthetic fiber that the sleeping bag can be crumpled up and stowed in the stuff sack as often as desired; the fiber unfolds completely each time and doesn`t lose any thermal performance.

  The clever combination of two different insulation materials and their layered processing makes it possible to use the sleeping bag down to -15°C.

  Trapezoidal cut

  Not only the material, but also the cut of the sleeping bag makes it so relevant especially for tactical missions. If you are used to sleeping with boots most of the time and also stow your gear in the sleeping bag, you will find the right rest in the trapezoidal cut of the mummy sleeping bag: Because there is more space in the foot area due to the cut, it can be well utilized even in the slightly shorter model with 185cm.

  Access

  To make a quick opening and exit possible at any time, all Carinthia military sleeping bags have a two-way zipper. The clamp protection tape ensures a jam-free opening and closing of the zipper. Because the top-lying zipper is equipped with a zipper heat strip, additional protection is provided against wind and moisture.

  Camo Matrix

  Woodland is the highlight of the so-called Camo Matrix from Carinthia, with which the possible uses of the products for a wide variety of applications have been expanded. The absolutely timeless camo classic M81 Woodland is not only the mother of all camos and as a vintage borrowing a real style classic. It also concludes the expansion of the requirement profiles and places of use of equipment and clothing with its usual high-contrast 4-color pattern. Within the camo matrix, previously unavailable, field-tested and proven camo variants have been exclusively matched to the most common operational regions in the European area, enabling an optimal camouflage effect at any time of year and in any operational area.

  From Multicam and its sub-variants Multicam Alpine and Multicam Black to the 5 colors Flecktarn of the German Armed Forces, most Carinthia products are now available.

  Proper storage

  G-LOFT sleeping bags should always be stored uncompressed to maintain the insulation performance of the filling. The ideal storage method is hanging, open, or with unzipped closures in a large mesh bag such as the Carinthia Storage Bag Net in a dry, well-ventilated area. The filling needs enough space to expand and recover. The stuff sack should only be used for transport, never roll the sleeping bag but rather stuff it from the foot end with the zipper open. Repeated rolling places strain on the same areas of the filling and can damage the construction.
  
  

  Care instructions for G-LOFT sleeping bags

  G-LOFT sleeping bags are machine washable (delicate cycle, max. 30°C) and suitable for tumble drying on low heat. Before washing, close all zippers, open the drawstrings, and turn the sleeping bag inside out. A washing machine with at least 7kg capacity is required. The gentlest cleaning method is handwashing in warm water with synthetic fiber detergent. After washing, rinse several times to remove detergent residues. Spin at a maximum of 500 rpm, then air dry – avoid direct sunlight. Machine drying is possible on very low heat in the gentlest program. Shake the bag during drying; for heavy sleeping bags over 2kg, an industrial dryer is recommended.

  Ich will hier kein Glaubensbekenntnis abgeben, sondern nur meine Meinung. Ich weiß, dass dieser Schlafsack geliebt oder gehasst wird. Dazwischen gibt es kaum etwas. Ich habe auch keine Vergleichsmöglichkeit innerhalb der gleichen Produktsparten (militärischer Schlafsack dieser Leistungsklasse) und brauche auch aktuell keine. Dazu muss ich noch ergänzen, dass ich persönlich aber auch gar nichts auf Comfort- / Limit - / Extremtemperaturbereiche gebe. Das sind normierte Laborwerte, die bestenfalls Anhaltspunkte sein können. In der Wirklichkeit sieht die Sache individuell sehr unterschiedlich aus. Während mir noch kuschelig warm ist, stirbt der weibliche Part schon den Kältetod :-) Ich kenne den Schlafsack noch aus meiner Militärzeit und schon da hat er mir gute Dienste geleistet, sodass ich bzw. wir ihn mitlerweile auch privat nutzen. Was einem klar sein muss: Die Funktion folgt hier dem Design. Ja, das Ding hat ein Packmaß, wie ein Putzeimer. Ja, das Ding wiegt so viel wie ein ordentlicher Ziegelstein. Der Schlafsack ist aber deutlich pflegeleichter, als es jeder Daunenschlafsack sein könnte (richtige Lagerung vorausgesetzt). Er verzeiht auch Fehler in der Benutzung, und ist sehr robust. Die Verarbeitung und die Reißverschlüsse sind herausragend. Und die Farbgebung gefällt mir. Ich liebe diesen Olivton irgendwie :-) Wem das klar ist, wird sich über ein hervorragendes Produkt freuen. Wer in Richtung ultraleicht unterwegs ist - definitiv Finger weg. Wir haben auf unserem Youtube-Kanal auch ein Video zu dem Schlafsack gemacht.
