Description
Retain warmth, adjust ventilation
Cold conditions call for insulation. Increasing exertion calls for airflow. The Brynje Tactical Arctic Zip Polo 3/4 combines a two-layer wool construction with a ventilation zip that allows heat release to be adjusted as needed. This long-sleeved shirt from the Arctic range is intended for professional users in law enforcement and the military and is designed for very cold conditions.
Collar and zip for temperature regulation
The raised collar provides additional coverage around the neck. The half-length YKK zip allows the front to be opened when needed for extra air circulation. Ventilation can therefore be adjusted as physical exertion changes, while the shirt remains in place as an insulating layer.
Merino wool mesh beneath solid wool knit
On the inside, merino wool mesh forms small air pockets with few contact points against the skin. Above it sits a solid-knit merino wool outer layer that adds warmth retention. During activity, moisture passes through the mesh as water vapour. The outer wool absorbs it and releases it through evaporation.
Both layers consist of 80% merino wool and 20% polyamide. The polyamide content increases the durability of the soft knit. Together, they create a breathable, highly insulating construction with a total weight of 370 g in size M.
Long cut with thumbholes
The unisex regular fit has a long cut designed for use with additional clothing layers. Raglan sleeves allow freedom of arm movement. Thumbholes at the cuffs prevent the sleeves from riding up during movement and provide additional warmth to part of the hands. Flatlock seams help minimise chafing.

The Brynje ranges at a glance
Wool Thermo combines merino wool with an open mesh construction and is particularly suited to low to moderate activity in cool to cold conditions. Super Thermo uses synthetic mesh to transfer moisture and heat during varying levels of exertion in cold or wet weather. For cold conditions, Arctic combines an inner mesh layer with a warm wool outer layer. Classic offers versatile, solid-knit merino base layers that can be worn directly against the skin or over a mesh layer.
Care instructions
Dry and air the garments after use. Washing is not necessary after every wear. Wash as needed to remove sweat and salt residues. Machine wash only on the wool cycle at the temperature specified on the care label, up to a maximum of 40 °C. Use a wool detergent without enzymes or bleach, dose sparingly and do not overload the drum. Do not use fabric softener, soak or treat with chlorine.
After washing, gently reshape the garment while still damp and preferably dry it flat. Do not hang heavy, dripping-wet garments on a hanger, as they may stretch out of shape. Do not tumble dry.
