  Warmth retention with room for air

  An open knit can retain plenty of warmth. The Brynje Wool Thermo Shirt uses trapped air for insulation while allowing moisture and excess heat to escape during movement. This long-sleeved merino mesh base layer top from the Wool Thermo range is designed for low to moderate exertion in cool weather and is worn directly against the skin.

  Open mesh for a balanced body climate

  Rather than lying flat against the body, the mesh knit touches the skin at only a few points. The air pockets between them retain body heat while activity remains low. During movement, the open construction allows air to circulate and supports the release of moisture and excess heat. The reduced skin contact also makes the shirt less likely to cling to the body.

  As the innermost layer, the Wool Thermo Shirt can be integrated into a layered clothing system. When more insulation is required, Classic wool garments can be worn over it.

  Merino blend with low overall weight

  Brynje uses 80% merino wool and 20% polyamide for the soft knit. The polyamide content increases durability, while the wool continues to insulate when damp and retains little odour during extended wear. The mesh construction absorbs less moisture than densely constructed wool fabrics. The complete shirt weighs 140 g in size M.

  Freedom of movement through the sleeves

  The long raglan sleeves support unrestricted arm movement. They are complemented by a close-fitting unisex cut with a knit that stretches across its width to adapt to the body’s shape. The shoulder sections are densely knitted for comfort beneath backpack straps. Flat seams help prevent chafing.

  The Brynje ranges at a glance

  Wool Thermo combines merino wool with an open mesh construction and is particularly suited to low to moderate activity in cool to cold conditions. Super Thermo uses synthetic mesh to transfer moisture and heat during varying levels of exertion in cold or wet weather. For cold conditions, Arctic combines an inner mesh layer with a warm wool outer layer. Classic offers versatile, solid-knit merino base layers that can be worn directly against the skin or over a mesh layer.

  Care instructions

  Dry and air the garments after use. Washing is not necessary after every wear. Wash as needed to remove sweat and salt residues. Machine wash only on the wool cycle at the temperature specified on the care label, up to a maximum of 40 °C. Use a wool detergent without enzymes or bleach, dose sparingly and do not overload the drum. Do not use fabric softener, soak or treat with chlorine.

  After washing, gently reshape the garment while still damp and preferably dry it flat. Do not hang heavy, dripping-wet garments on a hanger, as they may stretch out of shape. Do not tumble dry.
