High exertion, a short break, then back on the move: The Brynje Super Thermo Shirt is designed for changing activity levels in cold or wet weather. This mesh base layer top from the synthetic Super Thermo range forms the first layer of a clothing system. Solid-knit shoulder panels improve comfort when carrying a backpack.
Lightweight, quick-drying polypropylene
Made from 100% polypropylene, the fabric absorbs virtually no moisture and dries quickly. With a total weight of 140 g, the shirt remains lightweight and packs down small. The soft, wool-free fabric also provides an alternative for people who are sensitive to wool. The material is durable and odour-resistant and can be repaired if damaged.
Temperature regulation through open mesh
The open mesh construction reduces contact points with the skin. During high activity, it supports air circulation and the transfer of moisture and excess heat away from the body. During breaks, the mesh retains warm air as an insulating layer. The limited skin contact also reduces the fabric’s tendency to cling to the body.
Worn directly against the skin, the Super Thermo Shirt is suitable for both high and low levels of physical activity. Brynje specifies year-round use, particularly in cold or wet conditions.
Freedom of movement and solid-knit shoulders
The unisex cut fits close to the body and has an extended length. The stretch fabric adapts to the body’s shape, while raglan sleeves support freedom of arm movement. Solid-knit shoulder panels provide a continuous fabric surface beneath backpack straps, improving carrying comfort. Flatlock seams reduce the risk of chafing.

The Brynje ranges at a glance
Wool Thermo combines merino wool with an open mesh construction and is particularly suited to low to moderate activity in cool to cold conditions. Super Thermo uses synthetic mesh to transfer moisture and heat during varying levels of exertion in cold or wet weather. For cold conditions, Arctic combines an inner mesh layer with a warm wool outer layer. Classic offers versatile, solid-knit merino base layers that can be worn directly against the skin or over a mesh layer.
Care instructions
Dry and air the garments after use. Wash as needed to remove sweat and salt residues. According to the product data sheet, the Super Thermo Shirt can be machine washed at up to 60 °C. Follow the instructions on the care label. Use a detergent without enzymes or bleach, avoid fabric softener and do not overload the drum. Do not wash mesh garments together with items whose hooks or metal parts could damage the mesh.
After washing, hang the garments to dry. Do not tumble dry.
