Redesign of the softshell bestseller
With a redesign of the established Delta Eagle jacket, UF Pro sets new standards in the softshell jacket segment. With an innovative material concept, the Delta Eagle Gen 3 breaks all the rules in the softshell segment and impresses with a lightweight, quiet jacket with outstanding thermal insulation properties and ideal moisture management at the same time.
Softshell material rethought
Instead of using the classic concept of a softshell jacket, in which the wind- and waterproof outer material made of nylon ripstop, the membrane and the microfleece of the inner lining are laminated and thus processed into a single material layer, UF Pro separates the membrane from the other material layers: because the material is no longer laminated, an air cushion is created between the membrane and the fleece, which simultaneously insulates the warmth in the intermediate space and, on the other hand, also enables better moisture management.
This kills two birds with one stone and also creates more flexibility in the choice of material: UF Pro has used Cocona Microfleece, one of the best linings currently available when it comes to odour control and moisture management.
With a simple tweak to the material processing, UF Pro has given the Delta Eagle Gen 3 better material properties for movement-intensive missions in cold temperatures and, thanks to the absence of the laminating process, has developed a particularly lightweight jacket.
Underarm zips
Because the Softshell Jacket was designed to withstand bad weather and low temperatures during physically demanding activities, attention was also paid to ideal ventilation. The two long Vislon underarm zips can be opened completely, so that cooling can be created quickly.
The zips also provide quick, external access to a weapon carried inside. Here you can simply undo the button at the hip, open the zip at the lower hem and fasten the jacket to the holster with the drawstring.
Air/Pac System
The air/pac system developed by UF Pro on the shoulders provides an additional layer of insulation: The space between the body and the outer material of the jacket is filled with air, thus providing better thermal insulation. In addition, the air cushion prevents the shoulder straps of the backpack or plate carrier from coming into direct contact with the body, which ensures a continuous drying effect.
360 degree field of vision with hood
The hood of the Delta Eagle Gen 3 is also new compared to its predecessor, as the 100% waterproof hood can now simply be rolled up and stowed in the collar by means of buttons. A single movement is all that is needed to release the hood and deploy it. Thanks to the integrated and proven hood/harness system by UF Pro, the line of sight remains clear when using the hood.
Adjustable hem and sleeves
The jacket hem can be adjusted with bungee cord and the sleeve cuffs are also adjustable.
