With a technical update of the established Delta Eagle jacket, UF Pro sets new standards in the softshell jacket segment. With an innovative material concept, the Delta Eagle Softshell Jacket Gen 3 sets new rules in the field of softshell materials and convinces with a lightweight, low-noise jacket with excellent thermal insulation properties and ideal moisture management at the same time.
Innovation in softshell material
Instead of the conventional softshell material construction, UF Pro relies on a new material processing for the Delta Eagle Gen 3: By removing the lamination between the wind- and waterproof outer material (100% nylon), the intermediate PU membrane and the microfleece of the inner lining, an air cushion is created which insulates heat and enables better moisture management.
UF Pro uses high-quality Cocona microfleece as the inner lining, which has excellent properties in terms of odour inhibition and moisture management.
The new material processing without lamination results in a particularly light jacket with better material properties for movement-intensive use in cold temperatures.
Underarm zips
The Softshell Jacket has been specially developed for tactical personnel and is intended to provide optimum protection for physically demanding activities. Therefore, it is equipped with two long Vislon underarm zips that can be fully opened to cool down quickly.
These zips also allow quick external access to a weapon carried inside. By simply undoing the button at the hip and opening the zip at the bottom hem, the jacket can be attached to the holster with the drawstring.
Air/Pac System
The air/pac system, developed by UF Pro and already successfully used in many products, creates an additional layer of insulation on the shoulders. By filling air between the body and the outer material of the jacket, improved thermal insulation is achieved.
In addition, the air cushion prevents the shoulder straps of the backpack or plate carrier from coming into direct contact with the body, which contributes to a continuous drying effect. This is particularly useful when tactical operations often take place for hours in cold and damp environments.Hoods with all-round visibility
The hood of the Delta Eagle Gen 3 is also renewed compared to its predecessor, as the 100% waterproof hood can now simply be rolled up and stowed in the collar by means of buttons. A single movement is all that is needed to release the hood and deploy it. Thanks to the integrated and proven hood/harness system by UF Pro, the line of sight remains clear even with the 3rd generation softshell jacket.
Functional features
The jacket hem can be adjusted with bungee cord and the sleeve cuffs are also adjustable. Equipped with two practical side pockets and two robust zipped upper arm pockets, the jacket offers sufficient storage space for tactical accessories and equipment. The hook-and-loop cover with integrated pen pocket completes the technical setup.
