With the latest version of the Speedcross 6 Forces, Salomon sets new standards in terms of functionality and design of its proven tactical shoe. The shoe, whose basic concept was derived from the popular Speedcross trail running shoe, was specially developed for the extreme conditions of tactical missions and offers top performance in any terrain.
Using lighter materials and an improved grip, the Speedcross 6 Forces is now even more resistant to dirt and offers unparalleled traction. The tactical "Forces" version has a particularly wide forefoot area that guarantees maximum comfort even during long and demanding missions.
Upper, fit and lacing
Safety and stability are the cornerstones of the Speedcross 6 Forces and Salomon relies on its proven SensiFit system here. With the Sensifit construction, Salomon builds on 3 components: the upper, the lining and the lacing. Together, these elements provide an individual and precise fit that gives the foot support while guaranteeing flexibility and comfort.
The flexible anti-dirt mesh upper adapts perfectly to the foot and, thanks to a close-meshed mesh design, is not only responsible for the optimal support of the foot, but it also prevents dirt from getting between the foot and the footbed.
The inner lining is soft and breathable and provides comfortable cushioning and good air circulation.
With Quicklace lacing as the third component of the SensiFit concept, Salomon offers a lacing system that is easy and quick to use and yet ensures an optimal fit: the shoe sits perfectly on the foot with one pull.
Outsole
The sole of the Speedcross has been revised by Salomon and now consists of the innovative Mud Contagrip sole. This rubber sole provides excellent grip on all types of loose, soft, rough and uneven surfaces. With deep, sharp lugs, the sole is optimally designed for maximum grip and quickly drains mud to provide the perfect grip even on wet surfaces. Stability and safety are thus significantly improved.
Midsole
The proven midsole of the Speedcross 6 has been retained and offers outstanding energy return, cushioning and durability thanks to EnergyCell active foam. The sole is seamlessly welded to the upper for classic Speedcross comfort that won't fail over long distances and demanding challenges.
With its original focus as a trail running shoe and functional adaptations for use in tactical scenarios, the Speedcross 6 Forces is a functional evolution of the proven mission shoe.
