Description
Combat Shirt for tough temperatures
When the temperatures in the field reach freezing cold, but the physical activity constantly gnaws away at the heat management of the combat shirt, the new AcE Winter Combat Shirt in 2nd generation sets new standards: With an ideal construction of material and cut, the combat shirt balances out the fluctuations and ensures ideal wearing comfort.
3-layer construction
The trick of the AcE Gen. 2 Winter Combat Shirt is the smart three-layer construction: The shirt combines underwear, midwear and outerwear in one shirt and thus combines all the requirements of a functional combat shirt.
The 100% windproof and highly water-repellent outer material shields the body from harsh weather conditions and forms the basis for the innovative material processing: The AcE Gen.2 Combat Shirt has an air pocket between the lining and the outer layer of the shirt. This creates an additional layer of insulation that ensures an optimal body climate, whether in motion or at rest.
As the arms are the part of the body most affected by cold, UF Pro has stepped up here and lined the sleeves with G-LOFT, making use of the excellent thermal insulation properties of the insulating material. The sleeves are lined with moisture-wicking, odour-inhibiting merino wool, which doesn't neglect breathability.
Compressible structure
If the shirt is packed in the luggage, the functionality remains uncompromised, because the material including G-Loft unfolds completely again even after the best possible compression. An additional tactical advantage is that the material is made as quiet as possible to avoid unnecessary rustling.
Compatibility with clothing and gear
A combat shirt is rarely worn alone and usually in combination with heavy gear, which is why UF Pro has incorporated its integrated air/pac system, which not only prevents cold air from entering, but also increases comfort by padding the shoulders and upper back. This cushions the weight of the plate carrier or backpack and makes carrying more comfortable.
The design with angled front zip serves the same purpose: When temperatures require the wearing of an additional hardshell or thermal jacket, the zip of the combat shirt is not in the way and there is no overlapping. Pressure points can therefore be avoided and performance remains unaffected.
Manually regulating the temperature
The kangaroo pockets, which are easy to reach even with a plate carrier, are equipped with mesh inside. This allows fresh outside air to flow directly to the body core and excess heat to be dissipated at the same time.
Further strategically placed vents can be opened with one hand and regulated as desired thanks to the smooth-running YKK two-way zips.
