The tactical giant for high profile requirements

In the fall of 2021, eagerly awaited, we can once again launch a real highlight: In November 2021, we introduce you to the new big player in the Tasmanian Tiger range: The TT Mil-Ops 80 + 24 is the new giant in the tactical field. The brand new TT battleship made of Cordura 700 den convinces with features packed to the brim. The backpack is an operational pro, made for multi-week missions and versatile operations that require the heaviest load that you can possibly carry.

    Split volume for maximum loads

The smart compartments of the toploader, the absolute top of the range carrying system and a material combination for the ages make the TT Mil-Ops 80+24 a real competitor to the ever-popular TT Pathfinder. Designed for loads up to 50 kg, the backpack is intended for a volume of 80 liters, but is expandable up to 104 liters thanks to the two removable side pouches.

Let's look at the "Centre Piece" first, which provides the largest space (80L) in a spacious main compartment. With a smart division, this large compartment is divided into three sections: The separately accessible bottom compartment is ideal for storing a sleeping bag, while the voluminous main compartment can be packed to the brim thanks to the fully loadable and height-adjustable lid compartment. The wide openings and easy accessibility of the three main compartments make it amazingly easy to achieve a full load at maximum capacity. The secured, all-around zippered front opening keeps the backpack's contents accessible at all times.

Features upon features for tactical peace of mind

With more features on the inside, the load can be organized according to your needs: Not to be missed are the adjustable compartments for hydration bladders inside the side pouches. A separate pouch is provided for FM devices, which can be quickly accessed via a zippered opening even when the lid is closed. Large slip-in pockets on the sides are ideal for small items that can be grabbed quickly. Finally, the combat helmet is attached to the front of the pack with an adjustable flap. This flap is attached with buckles and can be easily removed when not in use.

If the total volume is ever not reached, the backpack can be lashed together with the side compression straps. Compression straps also run along the bottom of the combat pack; those are rather useful for attaching other equipment such as a sleeping bag, as well. Loops for ski poles and, of course, the M.O.L.L.E.-System bring the typical customizability of the tactical mission backpack into play.

For those who need even more packing space, the two zippered side pockets, each with 12 liters of extra volume, provide a flexible extension for even more gear.

V2 carrying system for lifting the load

With all that luggage, the question of the carrying system naturally arises. TT has answered this one confidently with the powerful V2 carrying system. The system stands for an optimal transfer of the load, which can be achieved because it can be individually adjusted according to the length of the back. The adjustment is made by a self-explanatory and, above all, quickly changeable slot system, which places the pads in exactly the right place on the back - even when the backpack is worn over a plate carrier.

With proper adjustment of the shoulder straps, the pack ideally rests on the hips, where the load is taken by the hip belt. The two stabilizing aluminum rods, which strengthen the back in the vertical, meet two securing GRP struts on the hip belt. The hip belt can be adjusted quickly by simply pulling on the straps; the excess strap length is then easily stowed with elastic loops on either side. To secure the position of the shoulder straps, a thin chest strap is attached. Straps for load control can be tied on in three different positions for even better load stabilization.

The Tasmanian Tiger Mil-Ops 80 + 24 is, without a doubt, a highly professionalized piece of gear that meets the requirement profile of specialized forces. As a tender winner for a NATO force, the backpack has already made its mark and we're excited to see this fabulous monster in the field soon.
