  Hot Meals Without Fire

  Whether on a trek, during operations or as part of an emergency kit, the Tactical Foodpack Heater Bag with Element heats meals through the reaction of the heating element with water, making hot food possible even where neither a stove nor an open flame can be used.

  Heat Generated by a Chemical Reaction

  The heat is produced by the reaction of a mixture of calcium carbonate, aluminum, calcium oxide and sodium bicarbonate with water. As little as 150 ml of water is enough to generate temperatures of up to 100 °C and provide heat for up to 25 minutes.

  Compact and Easy to Store

  With a gross weight of 95 g and packaging dimensions of 28 × 30 × 1 cm, the heating system fits easily into a backpack, gear bag or emergency kit. The heating element has a shelf life of 3 years from the production date and should be stored at 15 °C to 25 °C.

  Simple Field Operation

  Remove the heating element from its protective packaging and place it at the bottom of the heater bag. Then insert the meal and fill the bag with approximately 150 ml of water up to the marked fill line.

  The colder the water, the longer it takes for the reaction to begin. Heat generation starts within a maximum of 3 minutes, heating the meal in approximately 15 to 20 minutes; stirring once after about 10 minutes is recommended for even heat distribution.

  Designed for Repeated Use

  The Heater Bag can be used at least 10 times when handled properly. The included heating element is intended for single use only and can be replaced separately when needed.

  Safe Handling

  Hot steam is generated during the reaction. The heater bag should only be used outdoors or in well-ventilated areas, and any water that has come into contact with the heating element is not suitable for drinking or food preparation.

  After use, the heating element must be allowed to cool completely before being disposed of as hazardous waste. It must not be disposed of in fire or incineration facilities, as this may release hazardous gases or trigger unwanted chemical reactions.
