Description
Tactical Boots for Optimal Mobility
The Salomon X Ultra Forces Mid is a mid-cut tactical boot designed specifically for quick and agile operations, as well as low-visibility operations. It combines the agility of a trail running shoe with the robust stability of a lightweight hiking boot. Equipped with an Advanced Chassis, this boot offers excellent lateral support and includes a puncture protection feature that does not compromise freedom of movement.
In the GTX version, the boot is equipped with a Gore-Tex membrane, making it waterproof.Materials and Construction
The upper material consists of a combination of Anti-Debris Mesh, PU-coated leather, and single-layer mesh. This combination of materials ensures an ideal balance between robustness and flexibility, while the non-reflective properties keep the boot discreet during sensitive operations.
Robust Anti-Debris Mesh
The fine-mesh Anti-Debris Mesh effectively prevents dirt from entering and ensures high hygiene and comfort inside the shoe, even under demanding conditions.
PU-Coated Leather
The PU coating strengthens the leather of the boot, enhances protection against abrasion, and increases the shoe's durability. This coating also makes the boot water-resistant and easy to maintain, ideal for use in extreme environments.
Gore-Tex Membrane
The Gore-Tex membrane is integrated between the outer material and the lining. It consists of a microporous membrane made from expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE) with over 9 billion pores per square inch. These pores are small enough to block the entry of water yet large enough to allow water vapor to escape, making the boot waterproof and breathable, and keeping the foot dry and comfortable even under extreme conditions.
PFC-Free Solutions from Salomon Forces
To minimize environmental impact, Salomon Forces uses PFC-free solutions for the water repellency of their shoes, which is why the GTX GORE-TEX models are free from PFCeC (perfluorinated chemicals of environmental concern).

SensiFit System
The Salomon SensiFit system securely wraps the foot from the midsole to the lacing system, providing a precise, customized fit. It supports quick movements such as climbing and rappelling and enhances stability. The tongue connected to the upper material protects against the intrusion of particles and optimizes both comfort and fit by centering the tongue.
Protection and Support Inside
The boot is reinforced inside, providing optimal support for dynamic movements. A protected toe cap and a wrap-around protective edge made of leather, synthetic, or rubber effectively protect the feet from impacts and dirt.
Integrated Safety Elements
Closed hooks minimize the risk of laces catching on surroundings, while the lace pocket offers a practical solution for storing excess lace length, ensuring safe and uninterrupted running.
Sole Construction for Outstanding Performance
Midsole
The midsole contains EnergyCell, a high-performance EVA foam material that provides excellent shock absorption for sustained comfort and efficient energy transfer.
Outsole
The outsole is equipped with a zigzag-shaped Contagrip profile, which provides improved traction on soft surfaces. The integrated Advanced Chassis technology in the sole offers additional protection and supports the wearer's mobility.
Insole
The OrthoLite insole ensures comfort, breathability, and durability, supports moisture regulation, and controls odors, contributing to a pleasant foot climate. The Enigma Zero HT2 anti-puncture insert offers reliable protection against the penetration of sharp objects while maintaining the flexibility of the boot.
