Lightweight Rain and Wind Protection Jacket
The Levanter Jacket is an ultra‑light, waterproof rain jacket designed for mobile operations when weather and wind take over. It reliably protects against light rain and wind and is ideal as a compact weather protection layer for changing conditions — whether on patrol, during urban EDC, or on outdoor missions.
Lightweight, weather‑proof nylon with DWR and PU coating
The Levanter Jacket is made from a lightweight, durable 100% nylon fabric with a fabric weight of approx. 105 g/m². Nylon is especially tear‑resistant, quick‑drying, and highly resistant to mechanical abrasion — perfect for unpredictable conditions on the move.
On the outside, a DWR coating (Durable Water Repellent, C0 formula without PFAS) causes water to bead off the surface, preventing penetration into the fabric. This treatment is environmentally friendly and free of fluorinated chemicals.
Additionally, a thin PU membrane (polyurethane) is laminated on the inside. This acts as a waterproof barrier and increases the jacket’s water resistance to up to 10,000 mm — offering dependable protection in light to moderate rain. Despite this waterproof layer, the material remains breathable, making it an excellent choice for active users who need both mobility and weather protection.Light, compact & quick to deploy
Unlike classic hardshell jackets, the Levanter is significantly lighter, more compact, and more simply constructed. Weighing only approximately 268 g and featuring a minimalistic design, it can be packed down to a small size and pulled on quickly when needed — perfect as a “just‑in‑case” shell for unexpected weather. Ideal to keep in a backpack or EDC kit for quick access.
Practical details for everyday use and operations
The jacket features a short 3/4‑length zipper (half‑zip) for quick on/off and additional ventilation — useful during movement or variable temperatures. A large kangaroo pocket with two zippers (dual‑side access) provides space for maps, gloves, EDC items, or small gear. The adjustable hood can be tailored to the head and offers solid protection against wind and rain, even in storms or strong gusts.

The Levanter Jacket is particularly suited as a light rain and wind shell for everyday wear, outdoor tours, or sudden weather changes. It works well as an emergency shell or supplementary gear layer.
