Description
The tactical 3-season sleeping bag in Multicam Black
The 3-season sleeping bag, the Carinthia Defence 4, is a legend without exaggeration: It has proven its worth in the military field and under the most tactically demanding conditions. Its reputation precedes; and righteously so, the mummy sleeping bag has become one of the best-selling sleeping bags in its class. With a thermal performance up to -15°C, it combines highly technical material properties with a smart design.Waterproof, cold-resistant and super compact thanks to choice of materials
First of all, the sleeping bag, which is robust according to the claims, is made with a waterproof outer material that protects against moisture and wind. Consequently, the zipper on top is equipped with a zipper cover strip to really lock the sleeping bag against the weather conditions. For demanding temperature ranges up to -15°C the outer membrane is thus basically a seal, which is now supplemented by the G-Loft insulation with the necessary heat retention.2-layer construction
The smart 2-layer construction provides superior insulation, as an additional air cushion between the stitched, insulation force-absorbing layer and the outer shell reliably prevents incoming cold. The differential cut ensures that heat is retained in a controlled manner, even when the sleeper's mass compresses the inner layer of insulation. The generously cut insulation pads are cut in such a way that there is always enough space between the individual layers. Thus, the outer layers retain their insulating ability and the sleeping bag easily withstands the -15°C.Combination with Carinthia Tropen Summer Sleeping Bag is possible
Should it really get down to business, the Defence 4 can be transformed into a 4-season sleeping bag: The combination with the Carinthia Tropen Summer Sleeping Bag brings the thermal performance to the top.
All Carinthia military sleeping bags are cut in a trapezoidal shape and, thus, have enough clearance in the footwell for stowing equipment or clothing. In addition, they all have a two-way zipper that can always be opened quickly thanks to a pinch-lock waistband; it can also be opened for better ventilation.Small pack size in the included pack sack
In the typical Carinthia pack size, the Defence 4 can be transported uncomplicated, compact and safe in the included pack sack.TACWRK is a Carinthia Selected Premium Dealer

Proper storage
G-LOFT sleeping bags should always be stored uncompressed to maintain the insulation performance of the filling. The ideal storage method is hanging, open, or with unzipped closures in a large mesh bag such as the Carinthia Storage Bag Net in a dry, well-ventilated area. The filling needs enough space to expand and recover. The stuff sack should only be used for transport, never roll the sleeping bag but rather stuff it from the foot end with the zipper open. Repeated rolling places strain on the same areas of the filling and can damage the construction.Care instructions for G-LOFT sleeping bags
G-LOFT sleeping bags are machine washable (delicate cycle, max. 30°C) and suitable for tumble drying on low heat. Before washing, close all zippers, open the drawstrings, and turn the sleeping bag inside out. A washing machine with at least 7kg capacity is required. The gentlest cleaning method is handwashing in warm water with synthetic fiber detergent. After washing, rinse several times to remove detergent residues. Spin at a maximum of 500 rpm, then air dry – avoid direct sunlight. Machine drying is possible on very low heat in the gentlest program. Shake the bag during drying; for heavy sleeping bags over 2kg, an industrial dryer is recommended.

The Carinthia Defence 4 is available in three sizes: M (185) for individuals up to 185 cm tall,L (200) for those up to 200 cm, and XL (220) for people up to 220 cm. Choosing the right size depends on your height to ensure an optimal fit and maximum thermal efficiency.- Differencial cut
