Cold-Weather Protection with Operational Value
The UF PRO Delta ML Gen.3 Tactical Winter Jacket is designed for professional users—whether in observation, vehicle duty, or static positions. This jacket combines precise thermal protection, unrestricted mobility, and modular adaptability for complex layering systems. It is a tactically functional winter jacket built for real-world operational environments between 0 °C and –10 °C.
Material & Weather Protection
The outer shell is made of 100% polyamide with a polyurethane membrane—windproof, water-repellent, and elastic. It reliably protects against snow, light rain, and cold air, while the natural stretch ensures full freedom of movement even during dynamic activity. The fabric is optimized for abrasion resistance and a low-noise texture, making it ideal for tactical field operations.
Although not a rain jacket, it withstands light precipitation and snow with ease—under harsher weather conditions it can be worn as a mid-layer beneath the Monsoon XT jacket.Lining & Insulation
The thermal insulation uses 80 g/m² G-LOFT, a synthetic hollow-fibre fill with excellent resilience that retains warmth even when wet. The lining is made of 100% polyester with 37.5-fibre technology, which actively wicks moisture away from the skin and maintains a stable microclimate. This combination of efficient insulation and active climate regulation ensures consistent comfort—even during extended physical activity.
Ergonomics & Freedom of Movement
The anatomical fit is close to the body and minimizes unnecessary bulk—allowing the jacket to be worn perfectly under ballistic protection or as a mid-layer beneath weatherproof outerwear. Elastic Flex/Zone stretch panels along the back provide maximum mobility while preserving core warmth. Detachable wrist warmers with chronometer opening enable quick access to watches or devices without losing thermal protection—a practical detail for operational precision.
Hood System & Modular Adjustment
The new Hood/Harness system follows every head movement, maintaining an unobstructed field of view while ensuring uncompromising weather protection. The reinforced brim shields against precipitation, while the microfleece lining offers additional wind insulation. Both the hood and wrist warmers are fully detachable and can be neatly stored in the large internal compartment—ideal for modular layering concepts or wear under a hardshell.
Pocket Configuration & Features
With seven functional pockets, the Delta ML Gen.3 provides a thoughtfully designed storage system: two large front pockets with ventilation capability, an internal back pocket for detachable components, and several inner compartments for notebooks, documents, or communication gear. All zippers are covered, silent, and glove-operable—optimized for discreet movement in operational environments.
Operational Profile
The jacket is designed for temperatures between 0 °C and –10 °C. Combined with a hardshell such as the Monsoon XT Gen.2, it offers extended protection during continuous rain or snowfall.
Delta ML Gen.3 vs. Gen.2
Compared to the Gen.2, the Delta ML Gen.3 has been extensively refined to deliver greater adaptability, comfort, and tactical functionality in winter conditions.
The most striking upgrade is the fully detachable Hood/Harness system—a functional hood that zips off to simplify layering under a hardshell. While the previous version included no hood, the Gen.3 now provides full modular flexibility.
Also new are the detachable wrist warmers, which were fixed in the Gen.2. They can now be removed and conveniently stored, together with the hood, in the newly added integrated inner pocket—the Smart Storage Pocket not present in the earlier version.
The pocket layout has been completely re-engineered: the front pockets now feature two-way access and improved ventilation, complemented by a spacious lower-back pocket. This enhances airflow, improves accessibility, and increases overall carrying capacity.Finally, fit and comfort have been optimized: repositioned stretch panels and refined lining placement improve freedom of movement and layering compatibility, resulting in an even more ergonomic and versatile cold-weather jacket for professional use.
