  Trekking backpack for high-performance missions with ultimate volume

  With an impressive 85 liters of volume and as the largest of its kind, the Tatonka Yukon X1 85+10 Backpack brings everything needed for extended treks, expeditions or longer bushcraft trips where extensive equipment is required. With the necessary space and the sophisticated functionality of Tatonka backpacks all important utensils are safely and comfortably carried.
  

  Robust and durable materials

  Robust materials and careful workmanship ensure a long life and make the backpack ready for all challenges: Classic Cordura 500 den is a special material commonly used by Tatonka for large volume backpacks. It is a high-strength fabric made of polyamide fibers with a special coating. The density of the fibers in the fabric is 500, so it is particularly strong and resistant to wear, tears and cuts, which significantly increases the durability and life of the backpack. In addition, the material is water repellent and protects the contents of the backpack from moisture and light rain showers. It is easy to clean and dries quickly.

  As a polyamide fabric, the T-Snow Crust Eco fabric complements the tear and abrasion resistance with low weight. The special feature of this material is its fine pattern, reminiscent of ordered snow crystals, which gives it an attractive appearance. Thanks to the PU coating on the inside, the T-Snow Crust Eco fabric is also waterproof. In addition, the material has a PFC-free finish, which means that it does not contain harmful perfluorinated chemicals, making it more environmentally friendly.

  Interior layout and pockets

  With a size of 86 x 38 x 24 cm and a weight of only 3.25 kg, the Tatonka trekking backpack offers enough space for heavy equipment without bringing too much weight itself.

  The snow guard with two drawstrings under the lid ensures that wetness and dirt stay outside and the luggage is protected from moisture. A lid compartment with waterproof zipper and integrated key holder keeps the EDC safe and secure. The height-adjustable lid provides additional storage space with gear loops for extra attachment options.

  Division into main compartment and bottom compartment allows for organized storage of gear and makes it easy to access different items and separate clean and dry from wet and muddy. The large zippered front opening always grants easy access to the main compartment, while the raised side bottom with wraparound compression straps adds stability. Zippered side pockets with volume gussets and elastic side pockets provide additional storage for smaller items.

  With gear loops on the front and a zippered front pocket with elastic insert, additional gear and accessories can be securely attached and remain quickly accessible. In addition, the rope holder and hiking pole/ice axe holder allow bulky gear to always be handy and securely attached. The first aid compartment (without contents) provides space for important emergency medical equipment and the hydration system preparation provides important hydration on the go.

  Side compression straps allow the pack to be compressed and stabilized as needed. The front and rear handles allow easy lifting and carrying of the backpack.

  Carrying system X1 for the heaviest loads

  The Yukon X1 85+10 is equipped with the X1 carrying system, which Tatonka  specially developed to cope with optimal comfort with the heaviest loads. It is specifically designed to meet the needs of hikers, trekking enthusiasts and bushcrafters.

  The X1 frame forms the basic framework of the carrying system. It consists of a sturdy frame and a flexible back plate that ensures good back support. The frame is ergonomically shaped and adapts to the natural curvature of the spine. This provides optimal load transfer to the hips and relieves strain on the back.

  The ergonomically shaped shoulder straps of the X1 carrying system are padded and adjustable to allow an individual fit to the wearer. They provide an even distribution of weight and reduce pressure on the shoulders.

  The hip belt is wide and well padded to provide maximum stability and comfort. Adjusting the hip belt allows the load to be optimally transferred to the hips, further reducing the strain on the back.

  The X1 carrying system also features an adjustable back length to allow for a custom fit to the wearer. By adjusting the back length, the backpack can be optimally positioned to keep the center of gravity closer to the body for better balance.

  RECCO safety feature

  In addition to its large-volume design, the Tatonka trekking backpack also features a new signature element from Tatonka: an integrated RECCO reflector ensures that the backpack can be found more easily in an emergency in the wilderness: The reflector is attached to the lid of the backpack, where it always works without power or batteries. Rescue organizations can quickly locate the backpack with reflector via RECCO helicopter detector during a possible missing person search in large areas and in unclear terrain. This maximizes your own safety and the safety of fellow travelers, even in remote areas.
