Uber modular, uber light, uber tactical
The TT Modular Gunners Pack in the popular colours olive, khaki, coyote or black is already an absolute top of the range product when it comes to tactical versatility and functionality. With the IRR version, Tasmanian Tiger has once again played its trump card and officially elevated the tactical backpack to the spheres of official Bundeswehr usability. Uncompromising in its packing options and implemented under the strictest material specifications, the TT Modular Gunners Pack IRR
is thus one of the top products of the 2021 season.
Tactical material selection for full IRR functionality
In the choice of material, the IRR version of the lightweight backpack
differs from the other backpacks in the series: the lightweight but robust CORDURA 500 den IRR
is used here. In a few words, this means that although all the features in terms of light weight and super tear-resistant upper material remain, in addition, both, the CORDURA
material and all webbing, loop fasteners and buckles meet the high Bundeswehr standards TL 8305-0278 and TL 8305-0281 with regard to the IRR camouflage effect (IRR 650 1250nm / 10 42%)
. This means that the rucksack is officially choice of the German Armed Forces.
With the dimensions of 43 x 26 x 5 cm and a total volume of 14 litres
, the backpack weighs only 1000g. However, the attached extra pouches can be variably used and individually exchanged, which can even lighten the weight.
Smart design and versatile use of accessory pouches
When it comes to the functionality of the Gunners Pack, the Tasmanian Tiger team has put some serious thought into this and developed a combination of different packs and pouches that leaves hardly anything to be desired.
The main compartment, which also forms the back of the pack, is formed by a flat main compartment
with a total volume of 9 litres. The bag includes a device for a hydration system
. The fact that the main compartment is also the flat back section is interesting because it can be easily threaded onto a plate carrier using the M.O.L.L.E. reverse system
. The TT Plate Carrier QR LC can thus be connected to this back section. With an adapter for attachment, all other plate carriers can be connected, too.
Four more pouches
complement the main compartment of the backpack; they are located on the front. The upper one of the accessory pockets has a volume of 2 litres and can easily be folded down so that a magazine holder
can be attached behind it. The magazine holder is included; it is suitable for three M4 magazines or 4 pistol/ MP7 magazines. The upper Tac Pouch is equipped with the M.O.L.L.E. system in Laser Cut design
, so that there are further attachment options without affecting the slim profile of the rucksack too much.
The two side-by-side pockets attached underneath are simply fastened to a M.O.L.L.E. panel
. With a capacity of 1 litre per pocket, the two pouches can be used for small items that need to be or can be removed quickly.
The oblong pocket at the bottom of the main compartment has a total volume of 1 litre. It fits the TT Tac Pouch 12 or the TT 2 SGL Backup Mag Pouch M4. The lower pouch also has a loop panel for attaching a name tag.
If the rucksack is not fully packed, it can be pulled together with a bungee cord compression
If you are deployed in the German Armed Forces, you won't be able to avoid the TT Modular Gunners Pack IRR in 2021. Strong in its variable features and a bank in its choice of materials, it certainly convinced us.
