Description
Modular mission backpack with full front opening, V2 Plus system and IRR configuration
The TT Base Pack 60 FO IRR was developed as a high‑performance tactical backpack within the Base Pack series. Featuring a continuous MOLLE system, a generous base volume of 60 liters (expandable to 75 liters), and the distinctive Front Opening (FO) construction, this pack is designed for maximum adaptability and operational efficiency.
While the TT Raid Pack long served as the benchmark in the 45–50 liter class, the Base Pack 60 FO IRR goes significantly further — offering a larger load capacity, fully MOLLE-compatible exterior, and an innovative full‑height front access system. This IRR version additionally meets military infrared reduction standards and is specifically tailored for covert or night‑operation profiles.
Full Front Opening – maximum access without compromise
The full front opening (FO) replaces the classic top‑loading approach: this backpack uses a continuous front panel running the entire height of the pack, which opens completely like a suitcase. This design provides immediate and complete visibility of the interior without unloading, reshuffling, or reorganizing equipment.
Especially during vehicle operations, rapid relocations, or time‑critical missions, fast access to every single piece of equipment is operationally essential. The FO system supports structured modular layouts, medical repacking, or the targeted retrieval of mission‑critical gear — even under adverse conditions such as darkness, stress, incoming fire, or while wearing gloves.
This FO architecture is ideal for users who organize equipment in clearly defined zones: IFAKs, communication gear, clothing systems, sleep components, or specialized CBRN modules. Access is flat, direct and fully visible, enhancing overview and significantly reducing the risk of errors or delays.
Volume, structure and intelligent load distribution
With a base volume of 60 liters, the TT Base Pack 60 FO IRR provides sufficient capacity for multi‑day missions or extensive modular loading. Using the integrated roll‑top snow guard, the total capacity can be expanded up to 75 liters — a major advantage for varying mission profiles or additional winter or specialty equipment.
The division into main and bottom compartment supports clean, logical organization of mission gear. Sleep systems, clothing, or sensitive items can be stored separately from the main load — quickly accessible yet protected. The bottom compartment can also be used for weather gear, footwear, or medical reserve modules.
Complementing this structure, the circumferential bottom compression keeps the pack compact and stable during partial loads. Even when not fully packed, the volume remains controlled and close to the body — improving center of gravity and overall carrying comfort, which is especially important during movement‑intensive operations such as reconnaissance, dismounted infantry tasks, or urban maneuvering.
Carrying system for heavy loads
The proven V2 Plus carrying system is designed for loads up to 40 kg. The adjustable back length ensures optimal fit for different body heights. The padded hip belt with front‑pull adjustment provides efficient load transfer; it can also be removed and used separately as a Warrior Belt, making it valuable for modular load configurations or shifting operational roles.
Modularity on all sides
The front, sides, and lid feature Lasercut MOLLE panels for attaching additional pouches, utility pockets, or IFAK modules. The height‑adjustable lid can be removed entirely; in this case, the roll‑top snow guard serves as the standalone closure — ideal for streamlined, low‑profile mission setups.
Tactical features and functional details
The TT Base Pack 60 FO IRR includes hydration system compatibility, antenna ports, ice‑axe/trekking pole mounts, and side compression straps. A robust front carry handle allows quick manipulation in vehicles or confined spaces. Side pockets are optional, allowing the loadout to be scaled according to mission requirements.
IRR configuration for night‑vision camouflage
This version is built from Cordura 700 den IRR and meets the German Bundeswehr TL specifications as well as comparable NATO standards for the reduction of infrared signature. Both the primary fabric and the webbing are treated to remain low‑visibility under night‑vision devices and IR sensors. This makes the TT Base Pack 60 FO IRR ideal for covert operations, night missions, and international users requiring IRR‑compliant equipment.
Designed for professional operators, reconnaissance personnel, special forces and government agencies, the TT Base Pack 60 FO IRR combines high load capability, tactical modularity and complete system compatibility within a rugged mission‑ready platform.
