Modular IRR Chest Rig with 4-Magazine Front Panel, Plate Integration and System Compatibility
The TT Modular Chest Rig 4xM4 IRR is far more than a conventional chest rig: it is a tactical front platform that can adapt between a low-profile rig, plate carrier front panel and a combined chest-rig/pack system. Its IRR-compliant construction according to TL 8305-0278 also makes it fully capable for night-operations. This system covers operational roles that previously required three separate load-bearing components.
Four integrated magazine pouches with direct access
The front of the rig features four fixed, sewn-in magazine pouches, suitable for M4, AR15, G36, PMAG and STG formats. The removable 3D polymer mag pull tabs enable rapid reloading with optimized handling, while two mounted zippered utility pockets on the outer pouches provide additional space for tools, markers or medical essentials.
SAPI-compatible front flap
The rig includes a removable and height-adjustable front flap designed to hold a SAPI plate in size M (30 × 25 cm). This allows quick transitions between a lightweight rig for maximum mobility, a rigid front panel with ballistic protection, or a full plate carrier configuration—all without detaching or reconfiguring equipment.
The rear side is fully covered with hook-and-loop, enabling the entire panel to be mounted directly onto compatible plate carriers. Users gain a universal front module that changes function within seconds.
Combination with the TT Modular Chest Rig Pack – a complete system
The rig is designed specifically to integrate with the TT Modular Chest Rig Pack. Together, they form a system that unifies backpack capacity, a front-mounted magazine module, and SAPI integration on both front and rear within a single unified carrying geometry.
The TT Modular Chest Rig 4xM4 IRR was developed to combine multiple tactical functions in a meaningful way: through its modular architecture it becomes a lightweight chest rig for covert, mobile or reconnaissance profiles, a plate-carrier front panel for users requiring protection, and the core module of a full load-bearing system when paired with the TT Modular Chest Rig Pack.
Compared to traditional setups involving separate rigs, plate carriers and back panels, the system remains more stable (no duplicate strap routing), more mobile (optimized shoulder folding) and faster to configure (compatible attachment points and strap logic).This eliminates the need for operators to carry and configure three individual platforms. Instead, the entire setup is built around a single, consistent front module that can be expanded or streamlined depending on mission requirements.
Ergonomics, attachment & adjustability
The harness system consists of a removable, length-adjustable strap and padded shoulder pads that can be adjusted or removed via hook-and-loop. The main buckles can be replaced with G-Hooks if required. The shoulder straps include cut-outs for a tight shooting stance, making the chest rig particularly suitable for CQB applications.
IRR-compliant materials
The rig is manufactured from Cordura 500 den IRR. All materials—including webbing—are treated to minimize infrared signature under night-vision devices and IR sensors. This makes the Chest Rig 4xM4 IRR especially suitable for special forces, international units or night-time operations requiring IRR camouflage.
