Arc`teryx LEAF has tested its popular Naga series thoroughly and has released an improved second generation. The LEAF Naga Hoody Full Zip Men's Gen 2 convinces with small detail improvements and an ergonomic fit, which make the technical midlayer ideal for use in cold areas. Whether as a middle layer under a rain jacket or worn as a standalone: The hoody is definitely not only suitable for tactical use but looks pretty sleek in everyday life as well.
Material and shape for perfected use
Like its predecessor, the 2nd generation Naga Hoody Long Zip is made from a durable PONTETORTO hardface fleece. The material is popular for its heat dissipation while maintaining a soft structure and breathable components. Together with the anatomical shaping of the torso and sleeves, the hoody jacket is thus a great thermally insulated midlayer that gives as much freedom of mobility as possible - an important consideration especially when used as a midlayer. The front length of the hoody has been minimally shortened to make it more practical when combined with a belt.
The full zipper regulates the heat and makes it easy to use the jacket as a standalone to quickly pull over for thermal protection. The hood fits snugly and is especially designed with flat seams. Thus, no pressure points arise and the wearing comfort is optimized - especially when the hood is used instead of beanie, this is a distinct advantage, because even under a helmet no friction points arise.
Reinforced thumbholes and a new cable aperture
The new reinforced thumbholes are an important addition for the midlayer, because whether you're wearing gloves or putting on a rain jacket or cold weather jacket, thanks to the thumbholes there's no more slipping and the sleeves stay in place where they warm without causing entry gaps for the cold to creep in.
For carrying the usual small items such as small change, phone, gloves and keys, the two side pockets are equipped with zippers. An inside pocket now also has a cable outlet and is thus ideal to use when running with headphones or, of course, in tactical use with comm devices.
Many small details and minimal changes to the cut and length have brought significant improvements to the second generation LEAF Naga Hoody Full Zip. Like the rest of the LEAF Naga series, it's an update that definitely makes a difference.
