Cold protection jacket in performance upgrade
Arcteryx has made its high-performance Cold WX Jacket LT Mens (Gen 2.1) even better, even more performant, even more mission-ready with an material update to its near-alternative second-generation Cold WX Jacket. Defying freezing temperatures and dashing winds, cold weather missions can now be accomplished with even more uncompromising performance.
Temperature management at its best
The winter jacket owes its special performance to the well-rounded combination of Climashield insulation with DWR coating and the brand new Gore-Tex Infinium Windstopper. As a two-layer laminate Gore-Tex Infinium provides a particularly long-lasting windproofness and high resistance to rain and snow. Optimal temperature management thus meets wind protection and a water-repellent surface. Because the synthetic structure of the fibers is particularly light, full mobility can be guaranteed and the jacket is not a heavyweight or a problem factor in terms of freedom of movement, despite its enormous thermal performance.
Hemline and collar
Unlike the Cold WX Hoody LT Mens (Gen 2.1), the jacket does without a hood and instead adds a collar for more flexibility. The zipper runs through to the collar and is equipped with is No Slip Zip, so it does not open unintentionally and protects heat retention. The hem course is lead vertically which means that the hem can be adjusted, but there is no tangling with brush or the backpack.
Pockets
Even the pockets don't skimp on warmth; they're fully insulated with Climashield, so they can serve as hand warmers when gloves aren't being worn. A zippered pocket with a daisy-chain is inserted on each of the upper arms. There is also a 4 x 4.5 cm patch area on the upper arm.
