In 2021, 5.11 Tactical has revamped its Rush series, giving the tactical favorite a feature update. In Multicam, the Rush12 2.0 is the smallest of the tactical all-rounders and, like all the other backpacks in the series, it’s now equipped with a laptop compartment. So no matter how tactical it gets: The backpack is ready for the technical sides of a mission. And honestly: with a total volume of 24 liters, the small daypack is more than just a tactical backpack anyway. Whether on a quick hike in the afternoon, a bike ride through the city or simply on the way to the office: The small Rush12 2.0 has just the right size for a day-in day-out daypack. The resistant and waterproof CORDURA 1050 den is made and usable for tactical purposes; a use in pouring rain or a less squeamish treatment in the outdoor hustle thus isn’t a problem whatsoever.Well-known tactical look and modularity like a big one
The look of the Rush12 2.0 multicam is a tactical classic because of the multicam pattern, but just as much because the M.O.L.L.E. system dominates the look: M.O.L.L.E. stripes cover the front of the pack, as well as its sides and the bottom panel; a myriad of other pockets and pouches can be connected. Because the stripes converge on the front pocket, the backpack gets its significant 5.11 look: the Centre Line design is typical of 5.11's tactical backpacks.
Although the Rush12 2.0 with its 24 liters is rather lightweight even when fully packed, 5.11 Tactical does not compromise on the carrying system and combines the ergonomically padded back plate with the padded straps. To create more stability, the shoulder straps can be connected together with a chest strap.Lots of storage and a laptop compartment for those civilian days
The biggest new feature on the Rush12 is the padded laptop compartment on the back of the main compartment, which can hold a 15" laptop. Separated from the rest of the main compartment, which measures 45 x 28 x 16 cm, the computer can be safely stowed even when the main compartment is fully packed. A jacket and your lunch find good space here; the compartment for a water system is also integrated on the back, the outlet for it is guided to the outside on the back. Two mesh pockets on the inside of the front flap can be used to store small items such as charging cables.
On the front of the backpack, two front pockets offer space for small items; the lower front compartment offers a few slide-in pockets and a zippered pocket. This large front compartment provides the platform for another novelty in the Rush12 2.0: A discreet compartment with hook-and-loop closure where documents etc can be stored is hidden behind from direct access behind the front pouch.
The Rush12 2.0 in multicam is a real overachiever: tactical in its functionality and multicam design, but quite civilian in its usability thanks to its office suitability with laptop compartment. The little ones of the Rush series don't need to hide from their big brothers of the Rush24 and Rush72, that's for sure!
