Keep calm and pack your base camp!Mission pack with unmatched storage capacity for most specialised operations
Building on the success of the Mil OPS Pack 80 + 24, Tasmanian Tiger has taken customer feedback and created a truly exceptional pack: the Tasmanian Tiger Mega Mil OPS Pack 600 stands in a league of its own and impresses with a new interpretation of the proven Fast & Light principle. With uncompromisingly increased dimensions, the pack offers transport capacity for such a vast amount of equipment that mission preparation becomes especially fast and straightforward – because EVERYTHING can be carried.
Available exclusively through us and in strictly limited quantities, we offer this colossal piece of equipment without accepting any liability for lost inflatable boats, sleeping bags, motivation, or other gear inside.Pack concept focused on adaptability
While conventional mission packs require careful selection of what to bring, the Mega Mil OPS Pack 600 allows you to carry an entire locker including additional equipment. This approach reduces packing time to a minimum and enables the pack to remain permanently configured as a versatile go-bag. In the field, this concept provides maximum flexibility to respond precisely to unexpected situations at any time. With a total volume of 900 litres, even inflated sleeping mats, exercise balls, pop-up tents, and other essential equipment can be transported – items that would otherwise require time-consuming setup in the field. To maintain an overview of the contents, it is advisable to prepare a terrain sketch and keep a flashlight at hand.
Optimised accessibility for structured work
The large mission pack facilitates targeted access to its contents through multiple entry points. It is designed as a top loader, closed with a snow guard made of lighter nylon fabric and the lid compartment. In addition, the large front zipper provides a spacious front access, allowing precise retrieval of well-organised contents. The front access is further secured by two downward-running straps and four compression straps, which relieve stress on the zipper. Finally, the zippered sleeping bag compartment offers access from below, enabling quick access to overnight gear.
Customisable volume expansion with PALS
The MOLLE surface has been enlarged for maximum adaptability. This allows the attachment of separately available side pouches, hydration carriers, back panels, TT Tac Pouches, grenade pouches, or other modular components, ensuring mission-critical equipment is always within reach. The rear PALS webbing in particular supports efficient buddy-based operation, a proven method for maintaining security.
Compression straps for additional equipment
To easily attach camouflage nets, bivouac rolls, snowshoes, stretchers, or even additional packs, the Mega Mil OPS Pack 600 features two robust 40 mm compression straps with side-release buckles on each side. These straps can also be used to reduce pack volume when partially loaded. Two additional bottom-mounted compression straps allow for securing items such as sleeping mats, camp beds, or small inflatable boats. Excess strap length is neatly managed with elastic keepers.
Height-adjustable lid compartment
The spacious lid compartment is adjustable on both sides, allowing for adaptable height and consistently optimal positioning. While a rope can easily be stored beneath the lid, the lid compartment itself can accommodate one or two daypacks, which remain quickly accessible. Additionally, loops are sewn onto the lid, which can be equipped with separately available shock cord to temporarily secure jackets or camouflage gear.
Optimised V2 carrying system
The proven V2 back system is normally recommended for loads of up to 50 kg, making it well suited for high-volume packs. For the Mega Mil OPS Pack 600, certain reinforcements have been omitted to reduce weight and improve packability. As a result, structural stability and carrying comfort depend significantly on proper loading. A solid base can be achieved using equipment such as ballistic shields, weapon cases, spine boards, small folding tables, or off-road sand ladders. A full-length integrated foam layer provides basic cushioning for lasting carrying comfort. The padded shoulder straps can be adjusted to different heights on the back panel to ensure an optimal fit for various torso lengths. An aluminium reinforcement adds lateral stability to the shoulder straps base, while the height-adjustable chest strap keeps them securely in place. A reinforced hip belt transfers the load effectively to the hips. For easier handling and transport, the pack features six carry handles.
Exceptionally versatile all-rounder
To meet the demands of most professionals users, versatility is a key focus of this pack. The full-length foam insert in the back system resembles a summer sleeping mat, allowing the pack to serve as a basic overnight shelter when empty – with a tarp recommended in wet conditions. For maritime scenarios, the pack can function as an improvised inflatable raft for an assault team when contents are packed in dry bags. Thanks to its streamlined design without side pouches, it is also suitable as a large-capacity transport solution for group logistics, offering ample space for bulk items and returns.
