Compact EDC Flashlight with Variable Light Color
The Nitecore EDC07 is made for users who need a powerful yet compact LED flashlight for daily carry. Thanks to its extremely flat design, it fits easily into a trouser pocket, admin pouch or attached to gear. With up to 1,500 lumens, three different color temperatures and modern MCT technology, the EDC07 covers a wide range of uses – from everyday tasks to outdoor activities and professional applications.
Construction
Robust Housing
The housing of the Nitecore EDC07 is made from durable polycarbonate and weighs only 70 g including the battery. This means the flashlight hardly adds bulk in a pocket and is ideal as a daily EDC light. Despite its low weight, the housing feels solid and practical in use.
The slim shape makes it easy to carry every day, while the textured surface provides additional grip. Thanks to its IP67 rating, the light is reliably protected against dust and water. The EDC07 also withstands drops from up to 2 meters, making it a dependable light source for outdoor use, travel and daily carry.
Technology
MCT LED
Inside the flashlight are two quad-core MCT UHE LEDs with a maximum output of 1,500 lumens. The integrated Multi-Color Temperature Technology allows quick switching between three light colors, so the illumination can be adjusted to the environment and the task at hand. Cool white light is especially useful for maximum range and clear visibility outdoors, while neutral white provides a balanced beam. Warm white light with high color rendering is well suited for close-range work or reading maps and documents in poor light conditions.
Integrated Power Supply
Power is supplied by a permanently integrated 1,500 mAh Li-ion battery. Charging is done directly via the built-in USB-C port, so no external charger is required. The integrated battery level indicator shows the current charge status at any time and helps when planning longer use.
Intelligent Temperature Regulation
To keep the flashlight safe to operate even at high output, the EDC07 uses Nitecore’s proven ATR temperature regulation. The system automatically adjusts the light output according to the housing temperature and helps protect the internal components from overheating. A strobe mode and an SOS mode are also available for emergency and signaling purposes.
Operation
The light is controlled via a classic tail switch combined with an additional M button. This makes it quick and easy to switch between brightness levels and color temperatures. The controls feel direct and practical, especially during everyday use or when fast access is needed on the go. For an even beam pattern, the flashlight uses a dual TIR lens system. This creates a pleasantly wide beam with homogeneous illumination that works well at close range and at medium distances.
Light Output
Depending on the selected light color and brightness level, the Nitecore EDC07 reaches runtimes of up to 360 hours in Ultralow mode. The maximum beam distance is 132 meters, with a peak beam intensity of 4,410 candela.
