The Gear Aid Tenacious Tape Hex Patches facilitate quick mending of holes and tears in bags, rain gear, tent fabrics, insulation clothing, and more. Without the need for sewing or tools, damages are swiftly sealed, allowing the journey to continue.
Usable on Various Materials
To cover a broad spectrum of uses from outdoor sports, fishing, to duty use, Gear Aid selected a strong superglue that adheres to Cordura, rubber, and other synthetic as well as natural fabrics. The textile component of the fabric is a tightly woven nylon, making the patch a durable adhesive sticker for various pieces of equipment. To allow for professional repair later, the patch can be removed with heat, yet it sticks so firmly that it won't come off on its own. Alternatively, back at base camp, it can be further secured with a sealing adhesive for permanent durability, if needed.
Here’s How Simple It Is:
To achieve an optimal bond, the area around the damage is degreased with isopropyl alcohol. A Hex Patch of the appropriate size is then stuck onto the dry and cleaned fabric and firmly smoothed out with pressure. For additional stability, for instance, with large holes, another patch can be applied from the inside. After 24 hours, the maximum adhesive strength is reached, and the patch protects against moisture even on long and intense tours. Additionally, the garment or piece of equipment is washable with the repair sticker attached. These features qualify the Tenacious Tape Hex Patches as an essential part of a carefully packed backpack, enhancing resilience.
