The second generation of the Mid Insulation Hoody is the successor to the proven midlayer and, like its predecessor, is part of the DNS Alpha Law Enforcement series. Designed specifically for law enforcement officers who find the Heavy Insulation Hoody too heavy and the Light Insulation Hoody not warm enough, the Mid Insulation Hoody offers an optimal balance between weight and warmth with its thoughtful design.
Durable Outer Layer and Water-Repellent Insulation
The Mid Insulation Hoody from DNS Alpha combines an outer layer of mechanically textured polyamide 6.6, known for its robustness and stretch comfort, with a durable, water-repellent polyester insulation. These materials together provide high resistance, freedom of movement, and excellent thermal performance at minimal weight, making the hoody ideal for harsh environments and cold, wet conditions.
Breathable and Windproof Lining
The lining fabric is made of a highly breathable and windproof polyamide. This material allows for effective moisture regulation, creating a pleasant microclimate inside the hoody. Additionally, it offers wind protection, enhancing heat retention and increasing comfort.
Freedom of Movement and Comfort

Temperature Management

Differences from the 1st Generation
In the second generation of the hoody, the overall circumference of the jacket has been reduced by about 2 cm to achieve an even better fit when layering. Additionally, the volume of the hood has been adjusted in larger sizes, resulting in an improved fit as well.
