Lightweight Summer Sleeping Bag with Modular System Compatibility
The Carinthia XP Top is a lightweight and spacious summer sleeping bag designed for operations and outdoor activities in warm to moderate climates. With a weight of 1,200 g, a G-LOFT insulation, and a comfort limit of 0.9°C, it is well suited for trekking, bushcraft, and emergency preparedness scenarios where low packed volume and reliable insulation are required.
Lightweight Materials for Warm-Weather Use
The XP Top combines a water-repellent Shellproof outer fabric with an exceptionally lightweight Shelltex Ultra lining. Both materials are made from polyamide and contribute to the low overall weight while maintaining the durability required for regular outdoor and field use.
Compact G-LOFT Insulation
The single-layer construction utilizes a 135 g/m² G-LOFT polyester insulation and is designed for use during the warmer months. The integrated heat-reflective technology supports the retention of body heat and enhances insulation performance as temperatures drop.
Thoughtful Design for Enhanced Sleeping Comfort
The generous cut with a differential cut construction provides ample freedom of movement while allowing the insulation to fully loft. The individually adjustable face opening enables effective regulation of the internal climate and helps reduce heat loss around the head.
Field-Oriented Features
The centrally positioned two-way zipper allows quick entry and exit while providing additional ventilation options. The zipper draft tube and anti-snag tape improve handling and help minimize unwanted heat loss during the night.

Care Instructions for G-LOFT Sleeping Bags
G-LOFT sleeping bags are machine washable (gentle cycle, max. 30°C) and suitable for tumble drying at low temperature. Before washing, close all fasteners, loosen drawcords and turn the sleeping bag inside out. A washing machine with a minimum capacity of 7 kg is required. The gentlest cleaning method remains hand washing in warm water using detergent for synthetic fibers. After washing, rinse several times to remove any detergent residues.
Spin at a maximum of 500 rpm, then air dry – avoid direct sunlight. Machine drying is possible at very low heat on the most gentle setting. Shake the sleeping bag occasionally during drying; for heavy sleeping bags over 2 kg, the use of an industrial dryer is recommended.
Proper Storage for G-LOFT Sleeping Bags
G-LOFT sleeping bags should always be stored uncompressed in order to maintain the insulation performance of the filling. Ideally, store the sleeping bag hanging, laid out flat or with zippers open in a large mesh bag in a dry, well-ventilated area. The insulation requires sufficient space to expand and recover. The compression sack should only be used for transport – do not roll the sleeping bag, but instead stuff it loosely into the sack from the foot end with the zipper open, as repeated rolling stresses the filling in the same areas and may damage the construction.
