  The Numbat Small Chest Pack is designed for users who demand maximum mobility, low weight, and instant access to their essential gear. As a compact evolution of the established Numbat, this version was created specifically for seasoned outdoor users and professional operators who know exactly what they need to carry - and what they don’t.
  
  With a capacity of 2.6 liters and a weight of only 207 grams, the Numbat Small delivers outstanding efficiency with minimal bulk. This makes it ideally suited for urban operations, long-distance marches, and tactical field use alike.
  
  

  Durable materials for demanding applications

  The exterior is made entirely of robust Cordura 500D, known for its abrasion resistance, tear strength, and resistance to UV exposure and moisture. Inside, a smooth nylon lining ensures effortless handling of maps and equipment. The rear panel is constructed from an elastane-reinforced nylon blend (93% nylon, 7% elastane), allowing it to conform closely to the body for an ergonomic fit. Breathable polyester mesh further enhances ventilation, preventing heat buildup even during intense physical activity.
  
  

  Thoughtful construction for versatile use

  One standout feature is the convertible carrying system: with just a few adjustments, the Numbat Small can be transformed from a classic chest rig into a functional waist pack. This versatility makes it a valuable companion in tactical environments, during travel, or in everyday civilian use. The quick-release harness ensures a secure fit without interfering with other gear such as backpack shoulder straps. A low-profile zippered front pocket provides fast access to important items like a smartphone, ID, or power bank.
  
  

  MOLLE/PALS - Ready for any expansion

  The front panel is equipped with MOLLE/PALS webbing, allowing additional modules such as IFAKs, radios, or GPS devices to be mounted with ease. Integrated eyelets support the secure attachment of tools, buckles, or knife clips, increasing reliability during dynamic movement. Another attachment point located at the bottom of the pack offers a secure place to carry gloves, carabiners, or a small fixed blade - exactly where it can be reached the fastest.
  
  

  Organized Interior and VIS Compatibility

  Inside, the rear wall is fully lined with soft velour and is compatible with the Versatile Insert System (VIS). A removable map sleeve and several internal organizer pockets allow for a clear, customizable arrangement of tools, notes, or medical supplies. Everything stays organized, easily accessible, and safely stored.
  
  

  Numbat vs. Numbat Small – Two Formats, One Purpose

  Both versions of the chest pack – Numbat and Numbat Small – offer fast access to essential equipment worn close to the body. The choice between them depends on mission duration, loadout, and preferred carry method.

  The classic Numbat provides 3 liters of volume, offering significantly more space for extended missions and a larger gear setup. Despite the higher weight of 479 g, it remains comfortable to wear thanks to its ergonomic design. Multiple internal organizers, MOLLE/PALS on the front, and elastic attachment points at the bottom add to its modular flexibility.

  The Numbat Small addresses scenarios where lightweight, mobility, and minimalism are critical. With 2.6 liters of capacity and just 207 g in weight, it provides space for the essentials. Like the larger model, it is made of Cordura 500D and is VIS-compatible. The key difference: the harness is detachable, allowing the pack to be used as a waist pack – ideal for low-profile or civilian applications.
