Tactical Duty Shoe for Urban Operations
The Salomon Genesis Forces Mid was developed for professionals and outdoor operators who need footwear they can rely on even in demanding situations. In urban environments, on constantly changing terrain, or during long marches, a shoe must provide both stability and freedom of movement. This is exactly where this model comes in. It combines the agility of a lightweight trail running shoe with the durability of tactical duty footwear, creating a dependable platform for patrols, training sessions, and demanding outdoor missions.
Construction
Upper Material
The seamless upper is made from a durable textile structure built with high-strength synthetic fibers. This material withstands intensive use while remaining flexible enough to allow the foot to move naturally. During long missions in particular, this balance between stability and mobility proves highly beneficial.
A lightweight ripstop fabric is also integrated into the design. Its special weave prevents small tears from spreading further, which significantly increases the overall durability of the shoe even when used regularly in rough environments. At the same time, the overall weight remains pleasantly low.
All materials are non-reflective, which helps avoid unwanted light reflections. This can be particularly advantageous in situations where a discreet appearance is required. An integrated anti-debris mesh also helps prevent fine dirt, sand, or small stones from entering the shoe and collecting between the foot and the footbed.
Sole Construction
Active Chassis
The integrated Active Chassis provides additional stability. This construction supports the foot especially during quick directional changes or when moving across uneven terrain. At the same time, natural mobility is maintained, allowing the shoe to offer both stability and a dynamic feel while moving.
optiFoam Midsole
The optiFoam midsole, made from lightweight EVA foam, is responsible for cushioning. It absorbs much of the impact generated with each step while returning a small portion of the energy. This helps reduce strain on the feet and joints, which becomes particularly noticeable during long distances or extended wear.
OrthoLite Insole
Inside the shoe, an OrthoLite insole adapts to the natural shape of the foot. It provides additional cushioning and supports airflow inside the shoe, helping maintain a comfortable foot climate even during prolonged use.
Medial Reinforcement
On the inner side of the instep, an additional reinforcement pad has been added. This area often experiences significant stress during movement. The reinforced zone protects the material from premature wear while also adding a bit more structural support.
All Terrain Contagrip Outsole
The All Terrain Contagrip outsole was designed to perform reliably on a wide variety of surfaces. Its pronounced tread pattern provides secure traction on rock, sand, and loose ground, ensuring stable footing even when terrain conditions constantly change.
Anti-Puncture Protection
Between the outsole and the insole sits an additional anti-puncture layer. This layer acts as a protective barrier against sharp objects such as metal fragments, thorns, or other pointed debris. It helps reduce the risk of objects penetrating the sole and injuring the foot from below.

The Quicklace lacing system allows the shoe to be tightened quickly and evenly with a single pull. This makes adjusting the fit straightforward and efficient.
