The Woodsman Shirt is designed for bushcraft and outdoor enthusiasts who value both durability and functionality. Made from tough DuraCanvas fabric, it resists stretching, abrasion, tearing, and even sparks from a campfire – making it ideal for rugged conditions. Reinforced elbows and sturdy Canadian buttons sewn on strong tape further enhance durability and practical usability.
High-Performance Materials for Field Conditions
The main fabric is DuraCanvas, a balanced blend of approximately 65% polyester, 33% cotton, and 2% elastane, with a fabric weight of around 230 g/m². This material offers excellent abrasion and tear resistance, reliable shape retention, and a comfortable feel. Polyester contributes to faster drying and increased durability, cotton ensures comfort against the skin, and elastane allows for flexibility in movement.
To support mobility, critical areas such as the back and side panels are made from VersaStretch – a 4-way stretch fabric composed of 93% nylon and 7% elastane. This ensures full freedom of movement during climbing, crouching, or active work in the field. Additionally, the DuraCanvas fabric protects effectively from flying sparks during fire-making.
Functional Design for Everyday Field Use
The shirt features seven external pockets: two large chest pockets with button closures, two zippered hip pockets, and three internal pockets (two mesh, one Napoleon-style). Flat paracord loops allow you to attach small tools externally. Underarm ventilation zippers provide effective temperature regulation during intense physical activity.
