Rucking classic: the GR1 with 26 liters
Just like its little brother with 21 liters, the black 26 liter GR1 carries the DNA of GORUCK's original model. Rucking has become a
real lifestyle movement in recent years all about leaving the comfort zone and redefining your own limits. Ruckers seeks the
challenge and needs equipment that can withstands adverse weather conditions and take a beating when needed. With the 26 liter GR1 GORUCK presents a no-frills backpack that will hold up in any condition und all circumstances.
When giving up is not an option
What makes the GoRuck GR1 so special is its low-key design paired with the toughest materials and impeccable craftsmanship. The ever-durable 1000D Cordura used on the GR1 is otherwise used on the toughest military grade equipment. The well padded carrying system and the accordingly dimensioned padding of the back section guarantees a high level of comfort even with a full load over a long period of time. Even the carrying handle on the top is so robustly designed that the GR1 can be carried safely in any loading condition. GORUCK founders Emily and Jason McCarthy have experienced first hand that you have to be able to rely blindly on your equipment, as it can be a matter of life and death in the worst case scenariodo to there background in intelligence and special forces. Their collective experience and the philosophy that giving up is not an option as well as their claim not to settle for anything that doesn't meet their high standards have been incorporated into all GORUCK products.
Flexible, adaptable and low-profile
With its 26 liters, the black GR1 is a perfect daypack and EDC backpack. Even a city trip over the weekend should be possible with
this carry-on and TSA compliant backpack. To keep the design as low-profile as possible, GoRuck even does without a visible logo and instead offers the possibility to customize the exterior with a patch thanks to a hook and loop surface. The wolf in sheep's
clothing is thus ideally suited for hard rucking sessions in bad weather and with heavy loads, as well as for the everyday life or
the commute to the office or university. Thanks to a robust, padded notebook compartment with a frame sheet made of durable plastic and a false bottom, computers up to 16" can be transported safely. The Notebook compartment is only accessible when the GR1 is set down, effectively preventing anyone from tampering with the precious contents unnoticed. Alternatively, a hydration bladder can be mounted in the notebook compartment.
The exterior of the rugged, rainproof GR1 features a hook and loop panel, a zippered pocket for small items you want to access quickly, and three rows of wrap-around M.O.L.L.E. that hold additional pouches, pockets or the in-house GoRuck Reflective Ruck Bands for increased visibility. The interior of the GR1 is clean and well laid out. The main compartment fully opens making both packing and unpacking as easy as possible. There are two zippered pockets on the inside of the lid to keep things organized. The elastic insert on the side towards the back is perfect for GoRuck weight plates and reliably secures them against displacement. Three rows of M.O.L.L.E. above the insertion round off the structure inside. The large GR1 has 5 liters more than its little brother. The design and objectives are identical. The GR1 is an indestructible companion, whether in hectic everyday life or when moving your comfort zone.
