The DNS Alpha Merino Beanie is a functional essential that wins the race for us in the fit category: snug but comfortable, the beanie fits like a glove even under helmets and it impresses with the typical properties of merino.
Merino in Alpha format
Alpha DNS makes use of the high-performance characteristics of merino and adds a tactical crown to the odour-neutral and flame-retardant wool: An additional elastane content in the fabric not only makes the wool more elastic and thus ideal in terms of fit. The special merino combination also brings an extra bit of resistance: The material is demonstrably more hard-wearing and will not be damaged even by frequent use with zips, hook-and-loop closures, or helmets.
Fit for tactical use
The excellent fit is not only due to the ideal material, but also to the design, which despite its generous cut immediately fits perfectly to the head - no more slipping, no more pulling down! Because DNS Alpha takes helmet use into the equation, flatlock seams have been used to avoid pressure points and improve the fit even more. Whether on its own, with a tactical helmet or under a bike helmet: the DNS Alpha Merino Beanie rounds off the Merino series from Alpha DNS as a performative protection against the cold.
