Description
Two-layer merino warmth for the neck
Warmth around the neck, an adjustable fit: The Brynje Tactical Arctic Neck complements operational clothing with a drawstring-adjustable neck covering. This neck gaiter from the Arctic range combines merino wool mesh with a solid-knit wool layer and, in this version, is intended for professional users in law enforcement and the military.
Adjustable opening with soft skin contact
A drawstring at the opening allows the fit to be adjusted as needed. Flatlock seams keep friction low at the fabric joins. Together with the soft, itch-free knit, this construction supports comfort directly against the skin.
For the inner and outer layers, Brynje uses 80% merino wool and 20% polyamide in each. While the merino wool provides a pleasant feel against the skin, the polyamide content adds durability to the blend.
Open mesh beneath insulating wool knit
The inner mesh layer touches the skin only at individual points rather than across its entire surface. The spaces between them trap warm air. Above it, a solid-knit merino wool outer layer increases insulation. This construction is designed for very cold conditions while remaining breathable.
Moisture produced during physical activity passes through the mesh as water vapour to the outer layer. There, the wool absorbs it before releasing it through evaporation. The two structures thus work together to provide warmth retention and moisture transfer with reduced skin contact.

The Brynje ranges at a glance
Wool Thermo combines merino wool with an open mesh construction and is particularly suited to low to moderate activity in cool to cold conditions. Super Thermo uses synthetic mesh to transfer moisture and heat during varying levels of exertion in cold or wet weather. For cold conditions, Arctic combines an inner mesh layer with a warm wool outer layer. Classic offers versatile, solid-knit merino base layers that can be worn directly against the skin or over a mesh layer.
Care instructions
Dry and air the garments after use. Washing is not necessary after every wear. Wash as needed to remove sweat and salt residues. Machine wash only on the wool cycle at the temperature specified on the care label, up to a maximum of 40 °C. Use a wool detergent without enzymes or bleach, dose sparingly and do not overload the drum. Do not use fabric softener, soak or treat with chlorine.
After washing, gently reshape the garment while still damp and preferably dry it flat. Do not hang heavy, dripping-wet garments on a hanger, as they may stretch out of shape. Do not tumble dry.
