Chest Bag for Quick Access to Essentials
The 5.11 Skyweight Utility Chest Pack is a lightweight chest bag made from 330D ripstop nylon with various applications. As part of the Skyweight line, it's designed with a civilian look while not compromising on tactical functionality. It's created for concealed carry of a pistol and organized storage of everyday carry items, making it an excellent choice for hikes and bushcraft adventures where selected gear needs to be readily accessible.
Mutli-Use Bag
With the included carrying system, the Utility Chest Pack can be comfortably worn on the chest. The slim buckles on the sides make putting it on easy and optimize its use under a hiking backpack without interference. The back features thick spacer material for ventilation and padding to ensure comfort during activities like running or demanding hikes. Padded battle belts and regular belts can be threaded through the channel behind the padding, but it pairs exceptionally well with the 5.11 backpack hip belts from the Skyweight 24L Pack, Skyweight 36L Pack, and Rush 100. This transforms it into a reliable hip bag.
Quick Access Compartment
To keep the weight of the sidearm manageable, there's a concealed carry compartment right against the body, designed for compact pistols. One side features loop surface for attaching holsters and other hook pouches, while the other side has a row of elastic loops for magazines, multi-tools, or other small items. The two hot-pull tabs are positioned at the upper corners so that they can optionally be left or right, allowing them to protrude between the slightly open zipper sliders. This enables lightning-fast access for self-defense when pulled.
Organizational Main-Compartment
The heart of the survival bag is the main compartment with numerous pockets and elastic loops. Here, items like wallets, flashlights, folding knives, spare batteries, and other essentials find a secure place. And the best part: when opened, the compartment unfolds wide, thanks to the side folds, providing generous access to the contents without spilling them.
Exterior Pockets and Features
On the front, there's a flat zippered pocket without further divisions, perfect for storing a mobile phone or other low-profile items. When you need your hands free in a hurry, the flat stretch fabric pocket on the frontside is the perfect place for immediately accessible gadgets. The outer loops of the bag can also be used for lanyards or attaching carabiners. On the bottom, there are four webbing loops that are excellent for holding a tourniquet or, with the addition of some shock cord, gloves or other outdoor gear.
