Modern Winter Combat Shirt
The recipe for success behind the 5.11 Cold Weather Rapid Ops Shirt: To be optimally equipped for cold-weather operations, 5.11 combines highly breathable fleece areas with sections of nylon fabric bonded with fleece on the inside. With this robust material composition, the shirt excels under body armor as well as a standalone training shirt, making it a tactical must-have for the cold season.
Powerful Material Selection
Underneath plate carriers, the Grid-Fleece torso strikes a balance between breathability and insulation. Sweat and moisture are reliably transported away from the skin even during physically demanding missions, thanks to the moisture-wicking textile treatment. This is complemented by the Anti-Odor finish, effectively inhibiting odor formation. To protect exposed areas from wind, light rain, and moisture, the shoulders and the outer sides of the arms are made from DWR-impregnated two-layered Bonded-Fleece, enabling a performance-oriented material choice: The smooth outer layer of Bonded-Fleece is made of abrasion-resistant woven nylon with elastane, while the inner fleece layer consists of polyester with elastane.
Mission-Oriented Features
To avoid pressure points under the plate carrier, all unnecessary embellishments have been eliminated from the body. The collar with a ¼ zipper and chin guard allows for ventilation during high-intensity activities and, when closed, protects the neck from wind, sun, cold, and debris. Zippered pockets on the upper arms securely store essential tactical equipment and provide space for markings, badges, and morale patches with their loop panels. The pre-shaped sleeves feature adjustable cuffs with hook and loop closures for a custom fit.
