  Compact Fire Starter for Minimalists

  The Light My Fire Swedish FireSteel BIO Scout 2in1 fire rod stands out for its reliability and space-saving dimensions. As a crucial part of any survival kit, it performs its duty under the most adverse conditions and is barely noticeable at just 38 grams. Whether part of emergency survival gear or a cooking set for camping trips, a fire starter is an enrichment for every outdoor enthusiast.
  

  Optimized Materials with Efficient Space Use

  Its already compact dimensions are made even more efficient by the integrated emergency whistle, which can be heard from far away at 120dB. The handles, made from fully recyclable Terralene bio-plastic, are optimally shaped to fit comfortably in the fingers, making ignition much more pleasant. The rod is made from a pyrophoric alloy of magnesium, iron, lanthanum, and cerium, achieving good hardness with easy applicability. The scraper, securely attached to the rod's handle by a cord for loss prevention, creates large sparks with its sharp edge.
  

  Weatherproof Ignition Tool

  Unlike lighters, the FireSteel is unaffected by cold, high altitudes, wind, and moisture. Additionally, it does not have a tank that can empty, and the failure of technology is also not a concern. With up to 3.000 ignitions and spark temperatures of around 3.000°C, it easily lights natural tinder as well as gas, petrol, and alcohol stoves.
  

  Quick Guide: Making Fire with a FireSteel

  The process of making fire is not much different from using a lighter. However, the tinder should ideally be as fine and dry as possible so that the hot sparks can reliably get caught and ignite the first flame. The burning tinder bundle is then placed in a prepared nest of fine branches. From there, you begin to build the fire gradually with previously collected fuel. Until the sparks turn into a warming campfire that boosts morale and assists in preparing meals.
