  High performance softshell jacket

  The Practitioner AR Jacket is Arcteryx Leaf`s latest strike in high-performance softshell jackets with ideal conditions for extra movement-intensive use. With a water-repellent surface coating and at the same time a breathable and lightly insulated midlayer, the lightweight softshell jacket at only 455g is the ideal solution for the transition, as a midlayer or as a thermoregulating thermal jacket during high physical activity.

  Ideal material combination

  Fortius Air 50

  The trick with the Practitioner AR Jacket lies in the coordinated interaction of the material. Arcteryx's proprietary Fortius Air 50 of the shell is a highly breathable fabric designed specifically for use in extreme weather conditions. The combination of 84% nylon and 16% elastane is extremely durable and provides strong weather protection while maintaining excellent breathability. The DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating on the shell repels moisture and humidity, but does not limit the Fortius Air 50's special ability to wick vapor and moisture to the outside.

  Octa Loft Insulation

  The jacket's hydrophobic Octa Loft insulation, also an in-house material innovation, is a synthetic insulation composed of eight hollow fibers. The fibers are arranged in a pattern in such a way that air pockets are created, providing excellent thermal performance. The fiber structure of the insulation thus makes it particularly lightweight, compressible and breathable, and also ensures that moisture is actively wicked away from the body.

  In the combination of Fortius Air 50 and Octa Loft insulation lies the superpower of the Practitioner AR Jacket, as it can simultaneously keep the active body dry while guaranteeing thermal warmth and strong weather protection.

  Hem and pockets

  For cold and wet protection, the jacket's sleeves are equipped with stretch knit cuffs that can be adjusted to fit with Cohaesive hem adjusters. The hem of the jacket tapers slightly toward the front, keeping the back covered and warm even when kneeling or sitting.

  The long No Slip Zip front zipper opens the jacket completely and closes with the stand-up collar; it too is protected against wind and moisture penetration thanks to the covers inside. Two zippered chest pockets and two lightly insulated zippered hand pockets complete the simple but effective profile of this lightweight softshell midlayer.

  With an articulated anatomical cut and an uncomplicated sleek design, full freedom of movement is guaranteed, completing the jacket which, thanks to its innovative material technology, achieves a wide range of uses.
