Description
Ultimate combat shoe with light weight
As an update of the popular Speed Assault, the Speed Assault 2 is the particularly lightweight, all-weather version of the combat boot. The sole of the half-shoe is reliably grippy, regardless of whether the ground is sandy or stony, wet or dry. It remains the number one choice when speed and mobility are the most important factors in the field. Whether in the desert or in the jungle, the Speed Assault 2 convinces in tactical use with moisture management, grip and fit, and it is also as inconspicuous as possible thanks to its non-reflective materials.
Lightweight material
To ensure that the shoe is not weighed down when wet in the field, Salomon has turned to particularly lightweight and quick-drying materials, giving the shoe quick-drying properties that improve comfort. Because the nylon fibre used is also reinforced, tearing or abrasion is prevented and the shoe is given its exceptionally robust structure.
Upper and ankle
For the intended use of the combat boot in situations with fast reaction times and abrupt movements, the Speed 2 Assault was designed with a protective mid-cut with ankle support. The seamless Lycra upper with a high stretch content provides an almost custom fit and a comfortable feel while supporting the ankle; especially in loose terrain, this can counteract abrasions and bruises on the ankles or an unstable stance.
The cushioning of the Salomon Speed Assault 2 is provided by Energy-Cell, a high-performance EVA foam that can absorb steps and impacts in the best possible way.
Outsole and grip
The well-known and proven Contagrip has a varied relief and the Space Chevron lugs offer great grip on any terrain and surface. Whether on loose, soft, rough or uneven surfaces, the varying depth and sharp lugs with multi-directional grip bring a balance of durability and grip.
Insole
For maximum practicality, the shoe closes with Quicklace System, which allows for one-pull lacing that is as minimalist as it is robust. Easy on and off guaranteed!
