  Ich bestelle nun seit einigen Jahren bei TacWrk und bin nach wie vor damit sehr zufrieden. Der Support antwortet auf Fragen binnen eines Tages und versucht alle Wünsche zu erfüllen. Das einzige was mir aufgefallen ist ist, dass nicht alle Artikel immer vorrätig sind.

  Electronic Emergency Whistle

  The Nitecore NWE10 is an electronic emergency whistle that produces an acoustic signal of up to 126 dB at the push of a button. Unlike a conventional signal whistle, it requires no breath to operate. This makes the electronic emergency signaling device a practical addition to safety equipment for hiking, trail running, camping, and mountaineering.

  Construction

  Housing and Attachment

  The NWE10 weighs just 38 g and measures a compact 65 x 32 x 33 mm. The robust plastic housing features an integrated clip and attachment eyelet. For mounting on compatible equipment, Nitecore also includes an OUTDOCK mount with a MOLLE-compatible attachment system. This allows the signal whistle to be attached to the outside of a backpack or a shoulder strap, keeping it easily accessible when needed.

  Protection for Outdoor Use

  Rain, moisture, and low temperatures are not always avoidable in the field. The NWE10 therefore features an IPX7 waterproof rating and can withstand drops from heights of up to one meter. Its cold-resistant battery also enables operation at temperatures as low as -40 °C. This makes the electronic whistle suitable for outdoor activities in harsh winter conditions.

  Technology

  Acoustic Signals

  For immediate signaling, the NWE10 is activated at the push of a button. The generated sound reaches a maximum volume of 126 dB. When a signal needs to be repeated over an extended period, the SOS Mode takes over. Automatic repetition eliminates the need to keep pressing the button. The additional Beacon Mode serves as an acoustic location marker. It can be used, for example, to mark a campsite or help other group members navigate using an audible signal. For these different applications, the NWE10 offers both direct and automatic signaling options.

  Battery and Charging

  Power is supplied by a built-in 300 mAh lithium-ion battery. Both SOS Mode and Beacon Mode offer a runtime of up to 80 hours each. Charging is carried out via the integrated USB-C port. A particularly useful feature is the ability to operate the device while charging. The NWE10 can therefore continue to emit signals even when connected to an external power source.

  Operation

  Nitecore keeps operation focused on the essential functions. The direct warning signal can be activated at the push of a button, while the two automatic modes are designed for repeated signaling. Depending on the situation, users can therefore choose between a short acoustic warning and continuous signaling over an extended period.

  Particularly during activities where a loud signal needs to be generated without physical exertion, the Nitecore NWE10 emergency whistle offers an alternative to a conventional signal whistle.
