  TACO Gen. 2 Magazine Pouch by High Speed Gear

  High Speed Gear has reworked the well-known TACO for its second generation. The TACO Gen. 2 is lighter than its predecessor and features a slimmer material construction. The basic concept remains unchanged: the pouch holds a rifle magazine without relying on a rigid insert.

  This also means the TACO is not limited to magazines alone. Other items of equipment with similar dimensions can be carried as well. High Speed Gear lists certain radios, flashlights, flashbangs and smoke grenades as examples.

  Adjustable Retention

  A shock cord runs along the sides and allows the retention pressure to be adjusted. Depending on the magazine or item being carried, the pouch can be set tighter or looser. No rigid plastic insert is required.

  The contoured side panels help keep the contents secure while still allowing easy access. Magazines can therefore be inserted and removed quickly.

  Revised Material Construction

  For the Gen. 2, HSG uses laser-cut nylon laminate together with a woven thermoplastic core. Compared with the previous version, this construction reduces both material use and weight. According to the manufacturer, the new version is up to 20% lighter.

  The rear features a MOLLE structure with 1/2-inch spacing. This allows the TACO to be mounted on MOLLE and PALS platforms or worn directly on a belt.

  Two HSG Clips for mounting are included.
