The Best Weight to Ruck
Ruck Plates are compact and fit seamlessly in the Rucker and Ruck Plate Carrier for superior stability. Made in the USA to exacting standards of quality and craftsmanship, GORUCK Ruck Plates represent the very best of American manufacturing.
The standard of compatibility is that Ruck Plates will be stable and secure in your Ruck with minimal shifting. If you have a Rucker or Ruck Plate Carrier, GORUCK recommends the shorter Ruck Plates — 10LB, 20LB or 30LB for Rucker / RPC. If you have a GR1, we recommend the longer Ruck Plates — 20LB or 30LB for GR1. 45LB Ruck Plates will fit into the interior elastic pocket of the Rucker or GR1, but are not secure so they are better suited for upright rucking, not PT.
The 45LB Ruck Plate is best for if you're comfortable rucking 30 LB already and looking to train harder than you perform (train with a 45 LB, use a 30 LB at your GORUCK Challenge).
