Description
High-Capacity Tactical Backpack for Heavy Equipment
The Eberlestock F4 Terminator Pack V3 is designed to carry extensive equipment during extended missions. With a packing capacity of 102.3 liters, it ranks among the larger tactical backpacks in Eberlestock's lineup. An integrated aluminum frame stabilizes the pack, while the adjustable carrying system allows the fit to be adapted to the wearer's body and the load. In addition to the main compartment, several front and side pockets provide separate storage options. External attachment points, a detachable top lid, and a dedicated rain cover complete the setup. This allows equipment to be distributed across different compartments rather than stored entirely in one large space.
Main Compartment
The main compartment offers two access points. At the top, an expandable drawstring closure allows the backpack to be loaded in the conventional way. For equipment stored deeper inside the pack, the front access opening provides an alternative without having to unpack everything from above. The interior also includes several features for organizing different types of equipment. A mesh pocket with a compression feature can accommodate a radio or other heavy items, while elastic slip pockets provide storage for smaller accessories. An additional internal divider with a drawstring allows the main compartment to be divided into separate sections. This keeps different items organized while retaining the option to use the full storage space.
Side Saddlebags
The two large side saddlebags are among the Terminator's most distinctive features. Positioned on either side of the backpack, they can be accessed independently of the main compartment. When necessary, they can be partially detached from the pack body, creating space between the saddlebags and the main compartment for bulky equipment such as tripods or mounting systems. Each saddlebag has its own compression strap, allowing it to be tightened and secured even when carrying only a small amount of equipment. Integrated pass-through openings also make it possible to secure additional gear across the width of the backpack, regardless of how fully the saddlebags are packed. Further storage is provided by two large front pockets and additional side pockets for water bottles.
Detachable MultiLid
The MultiLid features a floating lid design and can be completely detached from the backpack. Its main advantage is its additional carrying function: integrated waist straps are stored underneath the lid, allowing it to be used as a separate waist pack. Simply release the attachment buckles, deploy the concealed straps, and secure the MultiLid around the waist. This makes it possible to carry selected equipment without taking the entire backpack along.
Rain Cover in the Bottom Compartment
A rain cover is included with the backpack. Eberlestock has provided a dedicated zippered compartment at the bottom of the pack for storage. The cover remains separate from the rest of the equipment and can be retrieved directly when the weather turns wet. This also keeps the full storage capacity of the main compartment available for other gear.
Additional Attachment Points
Several areas of the pack feature MOLLE webbing. The 10 mm wide webbing allows compatible accessory pouches and additional equipment to be attached. It is complemented by 25 mm wide horizontal webbing straps on the exterior, providing further attachment points for gear carried outside the compartments. Together with the compression straps, these attachment options allow the external load to be adjusted to the equipment being carried.
The rear of the backpack also features an integrated scabbard tunnel with MOLLE attachment points. A compatible Eberlestock scabbard can be attached here, adding a dedicated carrying option for a long gun. The scabbard is sold separately and is not included with the backpack.
Frame and Adjustable Carrying System
The Terminator is built around an Intex II aluminum frame, which provides the structural support required to carry heavy loads. Both the shoulder harness and hip belt are adjustable, allowing the fit to be adapted to the wearer and the weight of the equipment. For use with military protective gear, the Terminator features a Quick-Detach shoulder harness system. This allows the backpack to be removed quickly, even when wearing a plate carrier. The design is particularly relevant when the backpack is used in combination with other military equipment.
