Merino mesh for movement and rest
Light against the skin, functional within a layering system: The Brynje Tactical Wool Thermo T-Shirt brings the mesh principle of the Wool Thermo range to a short-sleeved design. Intended for professional users in law enforcement and the military, it is particularly suited to cool conditions and activities involving low to moderate physical exertion.
Raglan construction with solid-knit shoulder zones
Short raglan sleeves allow freedom of arm movement. The unisex cut follows the body’s contours, while the fabric’s stretch across its width allows the knit to adapt to the body’s shape. Where straps rest on the shoulders, densely knitted sections replace the open mesh to improve carrying comfort. Flat seams keep friction at the seam lines low.
Fine wool fibres reinforced with polyamide
80% merino wool and 20% polyamide form a soft fabric blend with increased durability. The T-shirt weighs 110 g in size M. Its insulating properties are retained even when damp. Low odour retention is particularly beneficial during extended wear.
Air pockets as part of temperature regulation
Between the skin and the clothing worn above it, the open merino mesh creates space for air. During low activity, warm air remains trapped there and contributes to insulation. During movement, the structure promotes air exchange and the release of moisture and excess heat.
The mesh touches the skin only at individual points, reducing its tendency to cling to the body. It also absorbs less moisture than densely constructed wool fabrics. To achieve its intended effect, the T-shirt is worn as the innermost layer directly against the skin. Classic wool garments can be worn over it for additional insulation.

The Brynje ranges at a glance
Wool Thermo combines merino wool with an open mesh construction and is particularly suited to low to moderate activity in cool to cold conditions. Super Thermo uses synthetic mesh to transfer moisture and heat during varying levels of exertion in cold or wet weather. For cold conditions, Arctic combines an inner mesh layer with a warm wool outer layer. Classic offers versatile, solid-knit merino base layers that can be worn directly against the skin or over a mesh layer.
Care instructions
Dry and air the garments after use. Washing is not necessary after every wear. Wash as needed to remove sweat and salt residues. Machine wash only on the wool cycle at the temperature specified on the care label, up to a maximum of 40 °C. Use a wool detergent without enzymes or bleach, dose sparingly and do not overload the drum. Do not use fabric softener, soak or treat with chlorine.
After washing, gently reshape the garment while still damp and preferably dry it flat. Do not hang heavy, dripping-wet garments on a hanger, as they may stretch out of shape. Do not tumble dry.
