  Insulating mesh underwear with targeted panels

  On the move, at a halt, during extended time in the field: The Brynje Tactical Wool Thermo Longs w/inlay provides a lightweight first layer for low to moderate activity in cool conditions. This version of the long base layer bottoms from the Wool Thermo range is intended for professional users in law enforcement and the military. Densely knitted panels complement the open merino mesh in areas prone to friction.

  Fine merino wool reinforced with polyamide

  The fabric combines 80% merino wool and 20% polyamide for a soft feel against the skin and increased durability. The bottoms weigh 150 g in size M, insulate even when damp and retain little odour during extended wear. Their mesh construction absorbs less moisture than densely constructed wool fabrics.

  Temperature regulation through open mesh

  The open mesh construction creates few contact points with the skin. During movement, it supports air circulation and the transfer of moisture and excess heat away from the body. During rest periods, the mesh retains warm air as an insulating layer. The large openings also reduce the fabric’s tendency to cling to the body.

  Worn directly against the skin, the bottoms can be combined with Classic wool garments worn over the mesh layer for additional insulation.

  Densely knitted panels to reduce friction

  The w/inlay version features densely knitted sections at the front, rear, inner thighs and knees. These panels complement the mesh in targeted areas to reduce friction. Flat seams help minimise chafing.

  The unisex cut fits close to the body. The fabric stretches across its width to adapt to the body’s shape and accommodate movement. A 4 cm wide elastic waistband keeps the bottoms in place.

  The Brynje ranges at a glance

  Wool Thermo combines merino wool with an open mesh construction and is particularly suited to low to moderate activity in cool to cold conditions. Super Thermo uses synthetic mesh to transfer moisture and heat during varying levels of exertion in cold or wet weather. For cold conditions, Arctic combines an inner mesh layer with a warm wool outer layer. Classic offers versatile, solid-knit merino base layers that can be worn directly against the skin or over a mesh layer.

  Care instructions

  Dry and air the garments after use. Washing is not necessary after every wear. Wash as needed to remove sweat and salt residues. Machine wash only on the wool cycle at the temperature specified on the care label, up to a maximum of 40 °C. Use a wool detergent without enzymes or bleach, dose sparingly and do not overload the drum. Do not use fabric softener, soak or treat with chlorine.

  After washing, gently reshape the garment while still damp and preferably dry it flat. Do not hang heavy, dripping-wet garments on a hanger, as they may stretch out of shape. Do not tumble dry.
